Nope, we got 10.0 on March 24, 2001. The Public Beta was released at the end of summer 2000.

Opening apps is slow and the resizing windows and sliding out of sheets are jerky -- and I don't think it's because of the stream. Take note of Fluffy's example above your post.

[quote]<strong>which is that?</strong><hr></blockquote>The search field in the Finder toolbar.

Oh, well i closed the stream a while ago and im too lazy to look, i'll take your word for it, i dont even use X yet, but it just seemed like most of the slowness was due to the genie effect that was slowed down-man that got annoying...

    oh yeah, i rememberhearing that in the stream and then thinking, where is the search text box? <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> oh well... better late then never huh?

Speaking of Noah Wyle, does anyone know when TNT is going to show Pirates again?

MWTKY01- The first of a series of letdowns

    Maya Demo

    First Photoshop bakeoff

    Geforce3/Doom3

    Digital Hub Strategy

    iTunes/iDVD

    Very lame G4 Cube Update

    Japanese iTools

And the hilariously shitty Flower Power/Blue Dalmatian iMac introduction

Not horrible, but no killer anouncements. GF3 was the highlight.

Best keynote will be MWNY02 because it's the first I'll see in person.

    And we'll get G5s

I loved the Tangerine iBook anouncement. That machine made me salivate. If only it had 1024x768 resolution I would look for one now.

But I was also very moved at the recent iPhoto demo. That program is so great. I really think a big Apple mistake of the last 3 years was iMovie before iPhoto. I know we need X for iPhoto. But so many more people have a digital camera and they are cheaper to get hold of. I got one just for iPhoto and love buying my pics from Apple.
