It's a fantastic watch that lasts at least 4 days of heavy use, 5 with moderate and up to 7 with light on a single charge. Sorry but those are the only exceptable numbers that I personally could live with, charging a watch daily just isn't something that I could ever use. There is also a new smart band that adds more functionality. You guys should check them out, they really are very nice watches. The Rose Gold and Black are my favorite. Much, much better looking than the Tag. The watches listed below are just a few of the models.

Way too thick for my liking, hard to wear with a suit, unless you had the sleeve specially tailored and you'd be forever bumping the thing.

I'll stick with my Swiss watches which only tell the time and date yet will outlast me, my children and grandchildren.

Tag and Heuer were great once, became a shadow of themselves during the crisis which affected the Swiss watch industry at the introduction of cheap Asian quartz.

That's brilliant. I've been saying this is exactly where the mechanical watch makers could take it, especially the smart band which allows a traditional mechanical watch on top and a smartwatch with the turn of a wrist -- in fact, not just a smart watch, but smart jewelry, bracelets in particular.  I had no idea that this technology actually exists in a practical product. I'd love to see one in person, since those are obviously renders with the transparent OLED display overlays. But its proof of concept which with a few years of evolution could easily fit into most any size and shaped package. This is the future. If Apple doesn't eventually head down this road, I will be surprised, since it's not about the watch form factor, but the wearable technology in general, of which the watch may be a part.

Wow. And I find the Apple Watch a little on the thick side (though so nicely designed that it's fine)!

It is on the thick side. side. Would love to see a woman's skeleton watch with smartwatch capabilities. This is the watch I wear on a daily basis. How difficult would it be to turn my watch into a smartwatch.

Why would anybody want to "turn that watch into a smart watch"?

That's like posting a picture of a Rotwild bike and musing how difficult it would be to turn that into a Smart Car.

Completely ignoring the whole point of BOTH products.

It doesn't have to be my watch, I'm really talking about expanding what Kairo is doing with their mechanical watches to other mechanical watches. Spending over 300 dollars on a smartwatch is frankly stupid and a complete waste of money. Why, because technology becomes absolute and no one wants to pay 10,000 dollars, let alone 1,000 for a three year Apple Watch. Which is the absolute maximum amount of time before it becomes unbearable to wear as the newer generation will be thinner better battery, faster, etc. Now, if luxury watch manufacturers could create a module that fits on the bottom of their watches that ads smart watch functionality and is upgradeable, we'll than, I would have no problem paying for it. My Milus was pretty expensive, an anniversary gift and I plan on having it until I die, than it will be passed down to my children, as with the rest of my jewelry.

In the mean time I just bought Kairos smart T-Band which arrive a few days ago. Although it didn't look nice next week my Milus so I put it on my Tag Calibre 6, woman's Monaco, a much, much cheaper watch but the T-Band looks great on it, it's still at the jewelers getting fitted but I'll post a picture of it hopefully in a day or two. The smartwatch functions are no where near that of the Apple Watch but I have absolutely no use for about 90% of what it can do. The display is just to small to fuss around with, as such I'm just looking to view my messages, emails, notifications, control my phones camera shutter, my 20" Lenovo all-in-one in the kitchen in which I use to play audio and watch media, mostly cooking shows and TV( which if I can get my iPad Pro to work with it I'll replace the Lenovo with another Pro or maybe Samsungs new 18" depending how good it is a larger display would be more ideal). So channel changer, play, pause, stop, next), lastly, open the door, the trunk and to start my car, that's it and the Kairo does those things just fine, everything else my phone is a much better option.

Why thanks. If it wasn't clear that you're simply oblivious to what you're ACTUALLY saying here, one might think you were just being an asshole.

Different people place different priorities on different things.

Many people have offered the sentiment that spending ANY money on a watch AT ALL is "frankly stupid and a complete waste of money", given that there's a cellphone in your pocket that tells time much more accurately.

But you don't seem particularly stupid or wasteful; it just seems like you carefully choose to spend money on products that give you joy and value and that you might find useful. So you buy hardware.

    So do I.

In fact, I have what some might consider outrageously stupid money invested into hardware that many think is pretty cool, and most people think is ridiculous to keep around in this day and age. That's okay. And it's mostly worth several times what I've paid for it over the years, so it's been worth the maintenance and upkeep, even if I've hardly touched it in the last two years.

Maybe the Apple Watch will have lost quite a bit of value after a few years. Quite possibly. Why should I care as long as the loss is equivalent to the enjoyment it's given me over that time, should I choose to replace it? My cellphone is worth less than half what it cost after two years, but nobody calls me "stupid" or "wasteful" for passing it on and replacing it with a new one...

    Any flavored coffee is sacrilege.
