I think the shell will look exactly the same. Maybe more battery life? GPS? Camera? Faster CPU? Not sure what the killer feature would be in version 2.
I bought an AppleWatch last week for $220 from B&H Photo and its great. Probably will skip Generation2 and wait for Generation3. The funny thing is I never though I needed a smartwatch but after a week with it I can't imagine not having one. It makes so many things easier and more accessable.
surprised you only just got one.
killer features will be: responsiveness, waterproof, gps. we'll get there I'm sure.
Foldable phones will become possible right around the same time that phones themselves become obsolete. I don't think we will be seeing them much outside of sci-fi.
What's the actual point of one anyway? It's like the transparent screens that everyone keeps hoping for, not realising that in actuality they would be a usability nightmare and give nothing extra back for all the things they take away.
Been saying it for a while, a mid cycle "c" iPhone would disrupt the industry and hurt the competition like nothing else. Make them colorful with Matching Beats earbuds and all the kids will have one.*
*I'd prefer the white EarPods but I'm not ignorant enough to deny colorful iPhones with matching Beats would fly off shelves.

I really hope Apple doesn't name it the iPhone 6C. No Chinese person will buy it if that is indeed the moniker.
I don't think any one would buy as iPhone 6C. It really needs to be a distinct product that designs around being the best 4inch phone that can be made with todays tech. So more like the iPod Nano was compared to second rate product like the 5C.
I still think iPhone Minus would be cool as a name and disconnect it from the 6 or 7 altogether.

I hope you meant iPhone Mini, and auto correct intervened. Either way, I think given the mid-cycle introduction, removing the 6, or 7 from the title would be best as well. Also, the 5C was a slight improvement over the 5. At most the new 4" phone will be a slight improvement over the 6S, so "6C" doesn't really cut it, since it would be a "6SC" at the least. And given that this rumor says the launch event will be in March, I would bet April will be the earliest the phone would be available. And if other rumors pan out that's only 2-3 months from an early iPhone 7 launch. It's unprecedented, but if this new 4" phone were a pre-7 model, that wouldn't be such a bad marketing move either -- the mostly latest, greatest iPhone in a 4" package (I doubt they will fit all of the larger flagship features in a smaller case design), should really move units, maybe even to a few that will ultimately buy the 4.7" "7", or "7 Plus" 2-3 months later, as well. And 2-3 months isn't time for the competition to do diddly squat. It certainly wasn't in the case of the original iPhone. Also, an accelerated launch might be explained by the pre-introduction of the "mini" iPhone.
lots of ways to skin this cat, but the worst in my opinion is making the "6C" a hybrid between the 6 & 6S, and pricing it below the 6S after the 7 comes out, eg. 6 $0, "6C" $99, 6 Plus $99, 6S $99 (based on carrier subsidies). But it would certainly level the playing field as to what size phone the budget customers prefer. Though it would also cannibalize profits from the 7 as more affluent customers who can afford the flagship phones, but prefer a smaller design, will end up paying much less.
Not a typo I think Minus is a great name for is great name for a product that sticks to Apples original design brief for the iPhone minus the fashionable aspects of the phablet. It's two very different markets and Apple are building more than enough phones to build products that maximise profits for each market independently.
If Apple don't have a 4inch in the line up that beats the 5s then it will be the build quality of the 5s that cannibalises profits not the 7.
I would be surprised if Apple introduced a second generation watch after only a year. Every two the three years might be a reasonable refresh rate. What they might do is introduce a first generation watch with a different form factor (round face?). I am also a fan of introducing smart bands, and those could be introduced annually.
Actually I can see this happening for a number of reasons. The big one though is that the current watch doesn't fully realize Apples vision for the device. I'm expecting that the new watch will do a process shrink to a sub 20 nm process which in itself will allow better performance and battery life. If they can integrate most of the electronics on die that will greatly impact size thus leading to a bigger battery. What they can't implement on die they might do as 3D packaging with the chips stacked vertically.
In other words there is plenty of opportunity to improve performance and shrink size on the next watch. Think of the gen one watch as a proof of concoct that may take a few revisions of the device to fully realize it's makers vision. It is the same evolutionary path iPhone followed.

I don't see Apple handing down iPad Pro features to other devices anytime soon.
