The ugliest box I will ever own
And now for something completely different:
And if you like that, check out Apple's OS X tab if you haven't already:

Next time, Apple, code name your projects after birds or something. Yowzah!

But damn I must agree, that is one butt-ugly theme Apple's got going for Jaguar. I hope the next update is called "Macaw" or "Dolphin".
<strong>Isn't it awesome, that Jaguar owns so bad that the only thing we can find wrong with it is the box it comes in?

I like it
Amorya
<strong>i think the biggest problem with it is that it doesn't match anything...not the aqua, plastic, glass or gray case of the PM</strong><hr></blockquote>
Guess what the next PowerMac will look like!

Is it me or is that X logo a lot more slick and silvery looking than the previous X server?
You be the judge. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
[EDIT: Added extra image/who thinks graphite will be replaced with that quicksilvery look? Here's to hoping!]

In any case, I like it
<strong>umm.... its just a 'beta' thing.. they even say it "code named Jaguar". I doubt they will shop the box that way.

On the box it says Version 10.2 Jaguar. What makes you think it's just a beta thing?
Already laymen (and women) have to deal with the name not being pronounced MacOS "EXX" but "Ten" and now they will even have to try and figure out wtf a Jaguar has to do with an OS.
"Oh look dear, they have a nice kiddy OS they are selling that lets you have a virtual petting zoo or something"
Apple is OBVIOUSLY hot on the business/corporate trail and for Apple sales people to go to a big company (imagine GE/Honeywell/Ford, etc etc) and proposing Animal themed operating systems ... thats just not the way its done bubba.
