when did you become a troll on this site? after playing and losing at day-trader??
Go read my post history. I'm not a troll. I support Tim Cook and Apple 99% of the time.
But when I see massive mistakes being made I speak up. Go look at my post history. In 2013 I also went hard on Tim Cook because they didn't release a bigger phone along with the 5s. I called for Cook to be fired if he didn't release a bigger phone within 12 months. Cook did.
Not defending the stock and company is another massive mistake Cook is doing.
But is it a mistake? He has already spoken up numerous times about the dangers of drawing conclusions from supply chain data. At this point, rather than come out publicly and repeat himself yet again - for we investors who are holding Apple long-term (as you have said numerous times that you are doing), isn't it better if he keeps his mouth shut and takes advantage of the low price by buying back as much stock as possible?
if there is any truth at all to these rumors, would he (Tim Cook) not be obligated to issue a statement revising the guidance they provided last quarter?
i think Tims silence on the matter says as much as reiterating his previous statements would. I just hope that he is aggressively repurchasing shares at this low, low price. I am debating selling some other equities so that I can buy more AAPL at these prices. I know that in a couple of weeks I'll be kicking myself for not doing it.

Aww c'mon sog. Really, really ? Not that old rhetoric again.
Apple as a company has never played that game. Never. But, but Steve would have ... - never played by Wall St rules.
I know you know that, so why go there ?
So Tims concentrating on the business at hand and future potential of Apple and not APPL - market and all its bs be damned. Good on him.
The future success of Apple is not going to be related to the price of its shares. Pretty sure Steve made that clear. You buy Apple shares for the long haul.
