How about you are respectful and keep the discussion professional ? Apple has the hugest profit ever of any US coporation in the last quarter and has a big social responsibilty to create jobs in the USA, and I am not talking about low paying ones. We want well paid jobs !  Donald Trump gives them and everybody else a great incentive with lowering the coporate taxes to 15%.

I think he’s whining about the people who “Liked” the post in question, calling out those people for believing the same thing.

Just even the playing field. Don't let corporations put their head overseas so that they can pay zero taxes. Lower the rate, simplify the code.

Isn't it funny how liberals abhor guns and violence until somebody comes along who they can't destroy with words alone?

I'm not speaking as a Trump supporter… he's not my guy… but I can't stand media mischaracterizations, and this is just one of a litany of such…

There was no "mandate", nor did he say anything about "forcing" Apple to do anything. Specific words spoken, in the context of Making America Great Again, were "I think we're going to get things coming. We're going to get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country instead of in other countries."

This reads as if to say "we are going to make Apple WANT to start building their damn computers in this country again"… again, you make America great, manufacturing comes back here. It is irresponsible to use the word "mandate" or to assume that he was talking about doing anything by force.
He can do no such thing, He's a liar in the extreme and it doesn't matter since whatever he says, someone will defend it.
There is no misrepresentation and you are a Trump supporter or you wouldn't even attempt to defend his crap.

his jingoist "making American great" (sic) is sickening on sight. The US is right now one of the only bright economic spot on earth and is already good. Could it be better: yes, everyone strives for better.
you, by virtue of the fact that you are a leftist, ARE a liar by definition.  The ends will always justify the means, and that means saying whatever you have to to destroy whoever you don't like.

Robots don't need rest, and robots don't slow down.  I don't think the calculations are accurate.  The Robots would pay for themselves sooner than later.  Especially if they could be retooled to do different tasks.

It's just red meat for the rabid electorate. I love hearing it too, but we all know it's not realistic, and not going to happen.

If someone's to the left of you, who are dropping your load of crap in extreme right field. that's doesn't make them a "leftist".

I'm in Canada, the conservatives here are about the same place as the democrats are in the US on most policy.
The 1950s and 1960s GOP would be to the left of the current democratic party.
Most right wing parties around the world, except those on the extreme right like the "Front National" in France, ARE TO THE LEFT OF THE GOP.

As for the rest, all I hear is the rant of someone's who is nearly incoherent and close to blowing a fuse.

Sorry, minimum wage in Wyoming is $7.25 an hour -- the federal minimum wage. The state probably never updated their own statue when the federal minimum wage exceeded theirs.

You can argue about the 10% of the article that is commentary if you want, but I wasn't posting it for that.  The other 90% of the article is statements of fact about things that the Eisenhower administration did.  That's the point.

Also, it's not marxist in the slightest.  Go and read up of marxism before using it as a general mud-slinging term for everything left-leaning.

    Pay attention please.

Others have said it, we live in a world that has shrunk and there is no way we are going to, or should, try to become some isolated, protectionist, country.  It is ridiculous at best to suggest we do so, and in reality is just pandering to an un-educated populace who are "mad" about things they don't even understand.  One of my business partners complained about the ACA, yet recognizes that without it, he wouldn't be able to afford or get health insurance.  And because he feels betrayed by this fact, then he complains that it's not really affordable - because you know it's "Obama's fault that he couldn't make insurance cost less".

Trump is selling the idea of what he thinks was a great America, one from the 1950's, where women participated in society by staying home to raise the kids, and anyone of color (read as not WASP) knew their place in the world.  American's should be embarrassed of Trump and the "ideals" he is spewing.

Curious, if we shouldn't try to be protectionist ("protecting those in our nation"), who should we strive to protect? In the past, typically you start by protecting your family, and then when that is taken care of you move on to community, state, nation, etc. You seem to be proposing a flipped perspective of 'help the world' at a time when most of the world still yearns to protect themselves first (i.e. at a time when it is suicide to think good intentions and sacrifice will lead to a greater good. e.g. China in regards to massive human rights abuses).

It's interesting you bring up the 1950's, because in the US quality of life surveys indicate that women are far less satisfied with quality of life today than they were in the 50's.

Many on the ACA are paying $1000 premiums with $10k deductibles. That's not really insurance.

Single payer is the economically sound solution due to economies of scale arguments. Only Sanders and Trump support single payer.
Single-payer system cannot happen at the Federal level without a constitutional amendment.  Such a healthcare scheme is only possible at the state level. There's a reason why the ACA monstrosity is what it is...the single-payer solution has never been politically feasible, nor should it be.

Simple. I voted for Mr. Trump but if he becomes ass-hole than Apple should send him gift of Note 7 which than explodes on his face. In order to create or keep jobs in America is make it easier for corporation to manufacture and do business here even it is anti-good-labor practices. Get rid of law suits. You rather have jobs than no jobs. America can't keep borrowing to help it's citizens.
