if you were to take a snapshot via software of your desktop, does it look normal or ****ed up?
(apple-3) snapshot.
just wondering if your machine is creating a bad image, or if it's sending good info that's getting fried somewhere along the way.
well, the image you see there is with cmd-3. it's ****ed up. it also looked that way on my monitor of course.
I'm not sure where it's coming from. When it happended, I went into the Terminal and killed the UI Server. And some other server. Still had it. Logged out. Still had it. restarted. away it was.
It only happens on my first monitor, who is accelerated with QE. on my second one, it didn't showed up. though it happened with 10.1 too.
The funny thing is that when you drag a window, it 'blurs' such lines after it, as you see in the screenshot.
I had this problem at one time(still do, can't find a permanent fix), but if you repair permissions it will put a stop to that effect for a about a day(or about two restarts).
edit: It started when I upgraded my Cube to a Radeon 32MB, so I think it has to do with either drivers or the card itself(bought off eBay).

then it's the Radeon. I have one too. But as I said, that problem only occurs every five-thousand years, so it's not bad.
