Spectre is WAY too old to be listed on VersionTracker. It was originally made for System 6, back when there were still oodles of 9" black and white Macs still in use. That's how old it is!

It can be found at the Macintosh Garden, as ethar mentioned.

Here are some snapshots I just took. Oh MAN, the memories are all flooding back. It nearly brings a tear to me eye.

Well, typically we look down upon people posting sites that pirate software, but this is a special case. The software there is considered "abandonware" and by many as public domain since the software is no longer sold and in many cases the parent companies have long since gone out of business.

Dudes, at least get Spectre Supreme with the shaded in polygons.

What it's all about. . . the 7-6-2 custom. Some daring individuals go for the 8-6-1, which is intriguing from time to time.

Spectre Classic can do filled polygons...it's an option right on the main menu. I just like the "ridiculously oldschool" look

And it's all about the Custom 8-5-2

I always used Speedy after I got good at the game. He could go essentially forever. I've long since forgotten which levels he reached, but I could go for hours... All you had to do was get him to level 10 and he got extra armor and ammo, and then you were all set.

I'm not posting my desktop yet, because it's boring.

Yes, you will have to buy Panther. But, let's keep questions like this in the appropriate forum/thread... this should be for desktop pics only.

Hey murb, what the iTunes controler you have in your menu? I've installed a few, but never managed to find THAT one.

That's it. Actually, after looking at it again it's damn ugly. I never use those buttons though, I have it mapped to use the F10-12 keys to go back, play/pause, and go ahead, respectively. It's nice not having to go to iTunes every time I want to change a song. It's set to random, and if a song I don't feel like hearing pops up, a quick F12 click gets me to another.

    Here, I'll change them:
