Bizarre Apple would bankroll this when their own app approval policy is so straightlaced. What in the hell is going on at Apple? Is Jimmy and Dre running the show now?

I'm sure there will be interest in this, but it just seems like more extremely inconsistent decision making. Does Apple want to be Netflix, HBO or Cinemax...or the Disney Channel?
I don't get it. YouTube just acquired a startup that helps musicians sell direct to customers. Apple should be focusing on YouTube and being better than Spotify/Pandora not giving Dre the checkbook because he's on the payroll but has nothing to do at Apple.

Also where is Apple's version of Amazon Echo (which is getting great reviews). Perhaps Eddy should be focusing on that.
Why do people still fall prey to media review and hype? Remember bad Apple Watch reviews and how it turns out? Highest customer satisfaction.
And for the bolded part, it's called iPhone 6s, or any version of iPhone and iPad with a dock (hint for someone who have old iPad laying around and didn't know what to do with it). And unlike Echo you can even see things you searched for on its screen. What a novel concept!
Tech reviews is a waste of time.

It makes perfect sense, with the message being:  Apple need not follow their own rules.  How many times do we see Apple's own applications violating Apple's Human Interface Guidelines that all other developers are expected to follow?

I really think Apple is allowing Dre too free a hand. Dre, go fuck yourself.
Apple, what happened to setting a higher standard?

To be honest, they could make the most trashy TV show on the planet, even more trashy that that Kardashian mob, as long as their hardware and software continued to be that wonderfull integrated wonder that turned us all into Mac fans in the first place.

so how is that wonderful integration going chaps? These pricks are coasting on our loyalty, and are busy showing us strings of beads and blankets as a distraction.

Where is the skylake MBA to compete with win10 products that have been out for six bloody months, along with an extensive bug fix for core apps such as Mail? It's becoming too embarrassing. I am more than willing to pay a premium for that wonderful integration, but it has to be worth it. Trashy low life TV shows don't come into it.

Maybe Apple will now finally stop censoring apps that have sex/violent content. Let adults decide the marketplace with our wallets.

But now...they are CREATING this trash. And that's what it is.
    1) no, this is a rumor.

    2) you dont know that it's trash, because you havent seen it

    3) sex & violence != trash. see The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, etc.

    4) sex & violence entertainment content isnt related to morals

    5) where was your moral outrage for Amazon? Netflix? etc

    ...jeeze. so much puritan nonsense.

And does Apple PRODUCE The Boardwalk, Empire, etc?

    thanks for reinforcing my point.

If You can buy or rent it on iTunes, so be it. As I said earlier, the companies that MAKE the stuff are who they are. If you want trash, go ahead. No ones stopping you. Not even Apple. You can watch and listen to it.

But Apple is a neutral party that provides the systems and infrastructure to enable content creation and delivery.

Once they are w content PRODUCER, it's s fine line.

hustler is trash. Nastyfunk records is trash.

Apple let is not them. So it shouldn't be making trash.

If young wants to do that fine. Apple can allow it on iTunes or whatever.

But it as an Apple branded, produced, and promoted content?

no way. Way off track. And will alienate a lot of people who know Apple to be in line with good ethics.

This programming should dovetail nicely into Apple's cultural shift toward at-work mass orgies, human sacrifice and devil worship.  /s

Millenials are without a doubt the dumbest generation that has ever existed. The ignorance displayed by many of them is astounding and there are so many losers among their ranks. Why don't they go and crawl back into their safe spaces! What a bunch of sad, weak losers.
Here's an even funnier part: they don't pay their own way. It's the "old...people" who pay the bills.

Not to turn this political, but I heard an interesting theory last night that applies -- a reason so many young people are supporting Sanders is because they are having trouble finding jobs and leaving the nest, and Sanders seems to be saying he's going to essentially pay for all of their needs.

Apparently, a few scruffy looking young people have fallen for that message. People who are too young and too ignorant to know the evils of socialism. Free college! Minimum wage $15! Free Healthcare for everybody! Wall Street evil! Rich people evil! Yay for socialism!

I suggest that these young Sanders supporters move to Venezuela, where you can't even wipe your ass, because there is a shortage of toilet paper, among other things. A true socialist paradise.

You would really hate Australia.  It used to have free university education and free healthcare.  Still has the latter.  It's a terrible place, no toilet paper, no proper heating, everyone disappears on holiday for four weeks a year.  It's incredibly dangerous, too because you can't readily buy or own firearms so you can't protect yourself from the Koalarahnas.

Everything is so free you don't even have to pay taxes.

If Apple is willing to present the likes of foul lyrics in rap music, soft core porn and violence as entertainment, I'm ready to "move away" to some other tech company's products and services. Very disappointing, Tim. This is just for the money, isn't it? God help us all.

Actually it isn't free. Somebody pays for it. Given our escalating debt, it will be our children and grandchildren who won't be able to pay for their free stuff as they will be paying for our free stuff.

Australia once did have a minor form of the Venezuelas, back in the day when there was high tariffs and import restrictions on just about everything. The range of products was rather limited and cost a fair whack compared to more free market economies.  We realised our mistake and grew up in the eighties, although the hangover continues and there are still dicks that wear red on mayday, and fantasise about nationalising telecommunications (they don't remember what telecom was like) or recreating state owned banks (ditto).

on the specific Health care issue, we do have a reasonable model: the government provides basic healthcare with the market signal represented by queuing, and a parallel private healthcare system that allows people to not have to queue and choose their doctor. In the private system price is the market filter. It seems to work better than an either/or. Much better than the pommy NHS where the only option is to wait in the queue, and the US system ( linking healthcare to your employer is a good idea?).

    koalarahnas? Pussies compared with dropbears.

This is what Dre (who is no doctor) is supposed to be doing at Apple? Starring in a dark drama with no shortage of violence or sex?
