    Hey Mr. Cook,
With all due respect, why don't you do something that really matters, like working with the FBI to open this phone that belonged to a terrorist. Any American lives that are lost in the future due to information that may be on this phone, is on you! Do your moral duty for this country, and you and your powerful friends call off the dogs attacking Mr. Trump. The American people are speaking! Act like a CEO, and do the right thing!

I'm pretty sure TRUMP and we the people knew it would be hard to get a non-politician elected. We know how the rino GOP has lost the republican voter, as much as the Democrats find themselves either a socialist or losing their party. We the people know we have almost lost our America and the work it will take to gain it back. Calling us low info voters is your first mistake. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find and learn the truth and we share it and learn along the way. TRUMP isn't just a winner, he is a street fighter and knows the cesspool he is running in. We the people, of all three parties, all sexes, and races are banding together to hopefully bring about a non-socialist, non-corrupted candidate to President. We have a plan, and TRUMP isn't the last part of our plan. We are not as uninformed as we perhaps were back in the day, but believe me, we learn everyday. Surprisingly, there was a day when America was the greatest country on earth. That is not our America of today. As you try your hardest and dirtiest to hang onto your corruption, the harder and longer we will keep trying. You haven't won yet, and what is so great about an American, is the fact that you will never win. The American spirit surivives. You can't beat Americans.

Let me see -- if my memory serves me right timmy ol boy is the same one who is refusing to help the FBI get evidence from the phones of the MUSLIM TERRORISTS getting together with the losers and wimps and traitors of the demrepub party to come up with a plan to stop the ONLY candidate who has the ability to start turning this country around. But wait -- if Trump managed to do that, all these POS losers would have to start having some accountability for ripping off the American citizens, for aiding & abetting the muslim fraud turning this country into a cess-pool. It must be terrible to fear one person so much that all you POS have to devise a pitiful plan that WON'T work. If there is a legitimate election in Nov., which I doubt this country is capable of anymore, you will see how fed up the American people with you career loser politicians and these elitists who think the world should revolve around them,

Any fascist elites who believe that they have the right to dictate who the common man votes for should probably all move to North Korea, as they would fit in much better there.

Unfortunately the common man is so misinformed and pretty gullable, considering they are flocking to a reality TV start business guy with the tact of a bad used car salesman who would do or say anything to get the sale. In this case the their vote. Anyone outside of the bubble can easily look up his interviews from 4 years ago and everything he says now was the complete opposite. He really gets off on how his supporters are so easily fooled and even jokes about it openly and they don't even get it. He is saying whatever it takes to get votes. Let's hope they have a plan to wake up these people to see he is playing on their fears and hate and using it against them.
If you believe he is the only candidate that says whatever needs to be said to get a vote I believe you fall into the same category of misinformed and gullible. Mitt Romney all but went down on Trump 4 years ago while he was running for office and Trump endorsed him. Last week he trashed Trump at every turn in that embarrassing speech he gave. He directly contradicted himself on national TV yet nobody really seems to care. I am not taking political sides or even going down the road about candidates. Just wanted to make a point.

People keep going out of their way to trash Trump, but aren't concerned about why he's actually doing well. People in this country are tired of career politicians, and lies and BS, and they are showing that by getting behind someone that they believe is the opposite of that. Again I am not trying to debate what any candidate did or said as this is not the place for that, just bringing up some points. This article is about our guy Tim Cook having secret meeting to end Trump's bid. I have a huge problem with corporations blatantly and Overtly using influence when it comes to any political office. If this ends up being true I will have some decisions to make regarding Apple products going forward. Just my 2c....

I don't have one.  Well, that's not true, I have many, but to what are you referring?  I was hoping that your comment was sarcasm because it was so ludicrous that I couldn't properly engage it.  Do you really believe that someone's responsibility is to help the FBI?  Apple has worked with the FBI many times.  This is a step beyond, and if you can't see why then I don't know what to tell you.

Anyways, this will all be irrelevant once the next version of iOS comes out.

You have no idea what you are talking about. A natural born citizen does not have to be born on US soil? The term natural born refers to the US citizenship of at least one of the parents.
The question has never been addressed by the Supreme Court, so they probably need to take this on and settle the matter. IMO, Cruz is ineligible and where one is born determines their "natural born" status. He just recently abandoned his Canadian citizenship.
My kids were both born in France. We did a Consular Report of Birth for both and they are both legally considered natural born Americans for everything. Sure they have French birth certificates, but they are indeed Americans by birth. France sees them as French and American. America sees them as only American.

Not on the citizenship issue, there haven’t.
While the place of birth does determine natural born status it is not the only criterion as both the Constitution and subsequent amendments address. The dual citizenship issue is irrelevant though a person does have to renounce any foreign allegiance as Cruz has done.
No, it’s not irrelevant. The definition of “natural born” requires jus soli and jus sanguinis. It’s entirely possible that Cruz has NEITHER, depending on when his mother received Canadian citizenship.
In any case if Trump manages to win both Florida (likely) and Ohio (unclear) people will have other things to worry about.
All the RNC has to do is amend title 40(f) to say “No one with the first name ’Donald’ and the last name ’Trump’ may be eligible for the nomination”. This is perfectly legal for them to do.

First of all, that’s circumstantially irrelevant. Cook is doing the only legal thing here, and the nature of the terrorism is irrelevant to the actions undertaken afterward.

I’m confused how a populist traditionalist is in any way akin to an authoritarian marxist. Could you elaborate?

    @ "

Not true, there have. This whole natural born issue is a non-issue. Next you'll be claiming that the fact the American citizen parent's female status is also an issue ( that's yet another of these birther types worries).

Really, there are far more serious problem to worry about and at least one of the candidates is causing quite a few people to shake their heads in disbelief.

So what was the ruling, then? The constitutional jus soli plus jus sanguinis? Just jus sanguinis? Both parents or one? And even then, we don’t know when she got rid of her American citizenship. If it was before his birth, then you’re right–this IS a non-issue; he just can’t run at all.

Given that paternal citizenship was a historical factor, I don’t see your point. It’s not relevant here, but it was valid.

"Cotton was pretty harsh on Cook," a source said. "Everyone was a little uncomfortable about how hostile Cotton was."

Junior Senator Tom Cotton is a proud bigot who has aggressively supported anti-gay state legislation. His open hostility toward Tim Cook - who is of course openly gay - at least let's everyone see who and what he is.

Geezzz, I wish the tech leaders would stay out of politics.

A bunch of rich and powerful people get together to "save themselves and their system".

And you wonder why people are upset.

I hope Cook stays out of it as much as he can.

    Let the people decide.

As I said earlier, do you apply this thinking to everyone?  What do you do?  What gives you the right to engage in politics?  And if you have an answer, then why are you allowed to engage in politics and not Tim Cook (or anyone else you might levy this argument against)?

    What makes you so special?

It's all displayed and laid out for the layman in the books of the bible. All one has to do is read. There is no research, google or hours spent on ground search. Simply read! Things that seemed right at one time are now wrong, things that seemed wrong at one time are now right. It is very simple. This was predicted 2000+ years ago. "No matter where you go, there you are!" GOD has tried to tell all what to expect and we ignore it. It is as clear as Black and White... No pun intended! READ!

Good point genovelle - Really nothing new here folks... standard operating procedure for most Politicians & their supporters. The American public has been subjected to lying & "lip service" from these guys for longer than anybody alive today can remember - Politicians subscribe to the idea that general public simply "can't handle the truth", and that "what you don't know can't hurt you", while lining their own pockets at the expense of everyone else. Seems to me neither the Party of the Rich ( Republicans ) and the Party of the Poor ( Democrats ) have any answers to our problems and it's about time we see the emergence of the Party of the Guy Somewhere In-Between ( Libertarian ? ) that possesses enough "common-sense" to find practical ways to straighten out this Country's self-created problems before it rapidly get's flushed down the proverbial toilet.
