If I lived in the US I would be questioning the power of the large corporations to gag free speech as Apple has deemed to do recently. Backed up by the deafening silence from the mainstream Mac press. Then you might understand why such information is emerging elsewhere.</strong><hr></blockquote>
If you lived in the US, you would do well to educate yourself on the concept of free speech. But don't feel too bad. The majority of Americans don't understand it either.
As to why France, it doesn't have anything to do with the location. Why would it? Assuming they're 100% correct with all their speculation, it simply means they currently have contacts and the other Mac sites don't. If you want, you can throw in a bit of safety for the source by having the information rewritten in a non-English language.
Actually, Apple has a rather well established R&D section in France. Apparently that this is where iCal and iSync were developed.
This is in line with their NeXT heritage - one of the lead honchos at NeXT was French, and wished to move back home... which is the last I heard of him. RHI he's heading the lab over there.
So, if Apple has an R&D lab over there, or even just a secret app development lab, it is entirely possible that they may have their own special French leaks.
