New alleged 'iPhone 7' display photo conflicts with recent rumors

Another "iPhone 7" parts leak photo has cropped up, but the image of the display assembly does not match recent leaks, with it reiterating rumors of display design feature alterations consistent with advanced light and proximity sensors.

The front panel shown in the most recent photo found on social media venue Weibo does not match the iPhone 6s, nor does it come close to the set of photos and video purportedly of a functional device earlier on Thursday.

Notable differences are two sensor cutouts, versus one on the iPhone 6 family. More ambient sensor penetrations in the screen facing support earlier rumors from June of a "dual specification" in the new device, at least in part. The earlier rumors had discrete emitter and receiver light and proximity sensor components, that bracketed the phone speaker to the left and to the right.

A significantly wider speaker cutout is shown on the newest picture than is seen on the iPhone 6 or any previous case mockups of the postulated iPhone 7. This is also similar, but not identical, to the June report.

Proportionately, the areas of bezel surrounding the screen are the same as found on the iPhone 6 and 6s, as well as what can be gleaned from the previously presented mockups and photos revealed on Thursday said to be of the iPhone 7.

Regardless of what it looks like or what it is called, Apple is expected to debut a new iPhone at some point in September. A recent rumor pegs preorders for the device commencing on Sept. 9 shortly after a launch event, with shipments beginning later in September.

I used to know the guy who worked on these iPhone front panels. Only a few people see them before they enter production. I can guarantee he doesn't leak.

yes... but if this is Apple sniffing for who does leak, especially in the supply chain, sending a different versions out (with markers such as the dual ambient sensor cutouts) to different suppliers allows for some level of policing.

Although, if the 9th/17th are the dates of announce and GA, it's pretty late in the process for 'late rumors'

I'm looking at my iPhone 6S and there is two sensor cutouts as well...
Theyre more like windows, because the glass has not actually been cut, but I digress.
The larger of the two is centered perfectly above the front speaker. There's a smaller sensor cutout is located to the left (when looking at the iPhone) of the aforementioned sensor cutout. This proported front glass has the same number of total cutouts.

    What am I getting wrong?

Yes, but I'm talking specifically about the two sensor cutouts above the ear speaker. Located on a fully assembled iPhone 6S, you must view the little, almost invisible cutouts from very close up, and at an angle where the ambient light shows off the sensors thru a little window of glass, called here, "sensor cutouts."

I'm confused about the article's mention of the new iPhone to contain the two cutouts as a new feature that differs from the 6 series that they claim to only have the single sensor cutout, when I'm saying the 6 series indeed has the two cutouts, just like the picture in the article, but the placement differs between the two series. [long ass sentence]
