Apple has switched on the events video stream channel on the Apple TV, in preparation for Wednesday's "See You on Sept. 7" presentation.

The Apple TV "Apple Events" channel has returned, and is now adorned with the bokeh Apple logo first seen on invitations for the event. The page itself notes compatibility with high-definition televisions and includes a timer counting down to the event's start time at 10 a.m. Pacific.

The "Apple Events" channel is compatible with second- through fourth-generation Apple TVs running the latest Apple TV software appropriate for the device. Alternatively, those interested can utilize Apple's live stream with Safari on both Macs and iOS devices, or the Edge browser on Windows 10.

Expected at the event is the unveiling of the "iPhone 7," "iPhone 7 Plus," a new Apple Watch, and new Beats products. The iOS 10 "golden master" should become publicly available before the end of the month.

Both new models of the iPhone are expected to ditch the legacy 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, implement the "A10" processor, and include an improved 3D Touch sensor.

The "iPhone 7 Plus" is rumored to contain 3 GB of application RAM, and a 12 MP dual-lens camera for possible use in automatic bokeh filters, and other similar applications that require dual vantage points of a single photographic subject.

Leaked parts suggest that a refresh of the Apple Watch will contain a slightly larger battery, which could be used to offset the battery power needed for rumored GPS tracking. As with the "iPhone 7," additional waterproofing is expected as well.

New Mac hardware will likely wait until later this fall.

AppleInsider will be providing live coverage of the event starting at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern.
