I use both systems - notimpressed with Apple. Slow image manipulation etc., Use them every day in work for graphics. Help.

What system are you using? I'm using a 1999 PM G3 and its runs OS X great. I added another 320MB of ram to it since and a 60GB HD.
What seems to be ur main problem with it? I'm not going to try and tell you this is better because of this reason and that is better because of this reason. People prefer, and notice different things. I think many Apple Fanatics (fanatic, not apple user, if ur an apple user for >2yrs u are probably a fanatic by then because of the hold apple has over its user base) stick with apple because apple's ability to do little things that no other tech companies can...or think to do with HW and SW. I won't name all the reason because there are so many, but i believe where dell, gateway, and other PC companies will put in x number of hours, apple will put in x*2. Apple scrutinizes every millimeter of their HW and SW, so that it isn't only intuitive and beautiful, but that it works well. Look at any apple computer, look at any mac and you can always pick things out about it that make it better then the PC for that year. When I say pick things out I mean software features, hardware advancments. After you answer some of the questions i asked i'll be able to help you better.
If you would really like to get some insight into a mac user check out the book by Scott Kelby, its callled Macintosh...the Naked Truth and is excellent at enlightening you. I got it because it's a big pro apple book written by a great author and does a great job of explaining what its like to be a mac user and why we would choose mac over Pc

You can't possibly trolling, right? Anyway, give us some more information and maybe you'll get some answers. If the computer you're on is slow, no amount of convincing will change that unfortunately. Maybe you can ask murbot if he can give you one of his 'old' perfectly usable systems?
I use both systems - notimpressed with Apple. Slow image manipulation etc., Use them every day in work for graphics. Help.

= RETARD.
more info is needed to help answer your very vague question....and not replying to the people who want to help you, but then replying to the one person who insults you makes it seem like you don't want help but do want to "troll"...please prove this wrong by suppling us with more info of the system you are using and what programs and in what ways does it seem slow......g
sorry but if you use both...and you don't tell a difference, then you are either 1)not using the mac enough, 2)i'm sorry i cant think of a two, i can't really think of one thing i'd rather do on a PC then a mac except program for a PC in c++
convince=sell...i don't work for apple, just use their computers...i use a pc at work, but prefer my iMac at home....i'm a big supporter of the belief that you use what you like...if you like pc's, great--then use a pc...if you like mac's, great--then use a mac....i can't really convince you to use one over the other....especially over the internet...maybe in person playing with the machine....g

You're right. Life's too short. Too short to inhabit a world where convention rules. Look at the hegemony of Quark. I'm asking for a sales pitch. Sell me a mac. I have an old one. Sell me another.

and yes, my 450mhz imac is waaaaay slower than my QS867. That's a no brainer, even you should be able to figure that out. ooIq

I've got four PC's running all sorts of OS's and one Mac. Interest in computers makes me ask these questions. Your replies make me less interested.
if you have a question specifically i'd be glad to help you, but honestly i'm not sure what you are asking, you want to know why macs are better? i am not going to sit down and write a 20page essay on why...ask a specific question on is thsi better on mac or pc and why and i can answer probably, but unless u narrow ur broad statement i'm afraid there is no answer...and check out apple's website if you have to
...it does seem like u like to rack up the post number by how you post simple things that could be elaborated upon

slow. Allright; they're old G4 450's, but that's no excuse.

Can you?
Well, either someone here will feel like it, or you can go to an Apple Store and speak with the Mac Geniuses, who are paid good money to do such.
Or go to the Apple site and read their testimonials.
Or ask specific questions about details you need to know in making your decisions.
I doubt many people here are interested in evangelizing at length in an attempt to woo you.
"Life's too short. Too short to inhabit a world where convention rules. Look at the hegemony of Quark."
I have no idea what you are talking about.

A graphics program.
I know what Quark is--I'm saying I don't know what the hell you were getting at with that sentence.

Which one?
