Dude the problem isn't with the computer..it's the location. As everyone knows there is a tech doc. on the old G4 450's. Now Apple doesn't like to admit this, but the "old" G4 450's are just a wee bit slower in Ireland than anywhere else. The first thing you "have" to do is pack up all you sh!t and move. I believe the specs on the tech doc. is at least 2000 miles away. Now once you get to your new location, drop us a line and let us know how the performace issue is going. Should take care of it for ya!
Guys, let's not get out of control dealing with this guy--I grant that it all seems rather troll-ish, but it isn't going to help anything to go off on the guy.
if someone is honestly in the mood to evangelize with him about Macs and PCs, perhaps you can get him to provide an email, or he could login to AIM at the "appleinsider" chat room.

Well I just have one thing to say. Thank god none of you work for Apple`s marketing. This guy comes to you and asks you to "sell" him into the mac. All you can do is call him a troll? so what if he is a troll, he is a troll of a different color. He wants to know what makes the mac better than the PC. Obviosly there is something or else you would not pay as much as you do for you hardware considering the alternatives. He is on a slow machine adn I`m sure he knows it. Why do I use a Mac? its not slow for what I do. I`m a web developer I don`t need 4 GHz to get my work done. Apple ships the best version of *nix for me. My friends can use it when im not around to monitor them and I can use it also. Networking is a sinch. I know how to do everything I need to, to do this stuff on a PC although it is more work. Why waste time showing off my know how to myself when I could spend the time getting the work done?
This discussion is ridiculous. Had you come in here sincerely asking for input on why you should stay with the Macintosh with your ?work for graphics?, banana, I?m sure you would have seen some great replies. Some people are very passionate about their platform, and would have likely told you why they prefer the Mac, how it makes their work day so much easier, how they are able to get much more work done in a day, even if their machines may be a tad slower than a top-of-the-line PC.
You?d have Eugene talking about his workflow, pscates talking about (and showing us) what he can create using a lowly iMac, or Mac Guru telling you how he does professional design work on a 500 MHz iBook. There is a wealth of good information here, and members who are willing to spread it to people who sincerely want it, but your thread here is going to get none of it. See the post of tonton there? You?d get all posts that helpful if you were serious about wanting them.
Your posts couldn?t be more combatative and light on information if you tried. Your initial post is vague, then you call yourself an ?opponent? a few posts later. I don?t see how anyone can think you are _not_ trolling.

Hope that helps!!!

I have no idea what you are talking about.
