the dot is somewhat better on the edition, but i still hate it on the steel. black dot of my current is much more subdued and natural, fits all my bands and clothing.
LMAO like you were going to make the Esquire Best Dressed List LOL LOL you slay me LOL. Drop the AW completely and put on the Patek and have your assistant tell you information sultan LOL
Just after his "man" brings around the Porsche 918 so he can make a round on the private racetrack he leased in Dubai, or is it the LaFerrari... Ah, he'll try both.
If you think being able to afford the stainless steel model puts up into the oil-rich stratosphere, I feel sorry for you. Keep collecting those social security checks, buddy, you’ll make it.

Don’t be a fool. I have the stainless steel now with black leather band and it works not only as a techie gizmo, but as a very attractive piece of accessory. It is classy and subtle.
This goofy dot is completely arbitrary. To say one cannot question it, or point out the simple that red is not neutral, puts one deep into Ultimate Fanboy territory.
You can have the dot in the crown of the LTE watch in any color as long as it is red. Be thankful they didn’t make it pink.
Is that because they made the storage unit higher than 2 GiB or because you selected the 250 song option and have high bitrate audio?
Apple removed the ability to choose between 250 songs and 2GB. And I don’t have any high bitrate rips. I don’t know what the limit is but that is the amount of music it synced by itself. I have one playlist and my most played content checked in settings.
The AW3 stainless steel model with the Space Black Milanese Loop is gorgeous. I bought the Space Black band because the Watch came with the regular Milanese Loop. I've been wearing it ever since Friday afternoon. The red dot is a non issue for me.
Seeing The Ugly Red Dot in motion is even worse than pictures. The Watch looks so simple, clean, and elegant until you turn it around and expose the TURD. It screams for attention like a TURD in a punchbowl.
Oh, please. Red used as a color to designate special or limited edition models runs deep inside many industries. It’s subtle, and for u to suggest otherwise sounds trollish.

Call me a troll all you want...but the Red Dot is just plain FUGLY! I would never buy it until its removed. It looks like it doesn't belong there for one thing. It serves absolutely no purpose what so ever and IMO, totally ruins a great design.

Get a black sharpie and shut up. Geez it’s a dot.
Its not just a dot....its a Red dot that sticks out no matter what size or color you get. It totally ruins the design. No...its not just a dot. Sorry!

I had that Braun calculator and loved the buttons. Could be the inspiration for the 'lickable' icons? I don't know the timeline. I just know I want some M&Ms. I still miss some aspects of skeuomorphism.
Regarding the red dot— I don't mind it a bit. If it stops somebody from buying the Watch, great. More for me. It amuses me to see all the energy used in hating The Dot. I suppose it reveals a lack of compassion on my part, considering people were ready to buy the LTE but were appalled and recoiled at that tiny piece of red Kryptonite.
People who 'defend' it are accused of being Fanboys. To what malady or phobia should we ascribe to the violent reactions of abject horror upon seeing The Dot?
I understand that you can like or dislike, or not even care about The Dot. What I don't understand is the damaged psyche steeped in hate and discontent, so compelled to seek bizarre and extreme comparisons which are most likely something ranging from an exaggeration to a lie. But it's a free world. Mostly.
Some people won't buy a new product if it looks exactly the same as the previous model. Changing the color of some part of the Apple Watch is the simplest solution. The crown cap is the only thing that makes sense. You can't change the color of the body if you want to use up previous-gen inventory. Changing the color of the side button is too distracting. The changed color can't be anything greyscale that could blend in on certain models. It needs to be subtle, but bright; so it's instantly noticeable. Any color other than red wouldn't work. Color customization would be too messy. The only issue is how easy it is to fake having a series 3 with a red sticker, but that's product promotion anyways.

Of that watch face, yes. Not of my watch face. Nor does it match my shirts, or my non-red colored bands.
Must...not...question...Apple...must...defend....defend! DEFEND!
