I really like the space pictures. The <a href="http://www.astropix.com/HTML/SHOWCASE/TOTAL1.HTM"; target="_blank">solar eclipse picture</a> reminded me of the eclipse i "witnessed" three years ago. The centerline of the eclipse was only some 100 yards away, the whole week we had fine summer weather, so we expected a spectacular view. But at the day of the eclipse we got massive rain clouds. So my experience of the eclipse was more like <a href="http://net4tv.com/Voice/Mag/Eclipse/Stuttgart.cfm?No=1"; target="_blank">this</a>

    Moving to General Discussion.

And PLEASE either link or thumbnail your images. I don't want to have to follow behind a bunch of you editing your posts because you were too lazy or stupid to fix it yourself. If an image is so large that it distorts the forum layout in my window, it's too damn big.

What Brad is trying to say, is that not everyone has a high resolution display, so when people post images that are 1024x768 or 1280x1024... it messes up their page formatting. It also takes the page forever to download for dial up users.

Even 800x600 images could be shrunk down and thumbnailed, although I suppose that is a tolerable maximum size.

I'm sure Brad has just ran out of coffee or something this morning.

I used a great app called screendump. It takes a pic of your desktop at a specified interval and uploads it to a webpage.

just look at the bottom of my web page for the screendump windowlink.

Kinda cool to see so many OS X desktops! Good!

I'll post mine tonight, if I can (I'm currently on a Gateway laptop at a friend's house - shoot me please. But she informed me on Thursday that she's getting a new laptop in early 2003...and she's "going Mac", thanks to me and her time spent using my iMac and digging OS X, iTunes, etc.).

    Another convert!

Now Fellowship Church, I noticed that you have a bunch of icons on the apple bar next to the clock; ichat, modem, airport, display, volume and battery, then clock. How long does it take for those icons to load up there when loading os x?

Fellowship, are those your pictures? If not, do you do any astrophotography? I have gotten into it in the last year or so because of requirements for astronomy classes at school. My school is pretty small, but we have a kickin' observatory, and some of the latest technology for taking pictures of the heavens. You can check out the observatory's site (including student photos) here: <a href="http://www.eastern.edu/academic/trad_undg/sas/depts/physsci/index.html"; target="_blank">The Bradstreet Observatory at Eastern University</a>

In fact, I may spend some time up there tonight.
