All I have is modem, volume and then clock, which load really fast. But, when I add the display it causes the clock to hang for like 10 seconds then all is fine. What could be causing this?

Just about any little graphic editor will allow you to scale an image. I prefer <a href="http://www.lemkesoft.de/us_gcdownload.html"; target="_blank">GraphicConverter</a> for this. Alternatively, you could use iPhoto to scale an image. I believe there are also AppleScripts available for scaling images.

Anyhow, once you've got the scaled image, simply post that instead of the full-size one. If you wish, you can also post a link to the full-size original.

i understand where you are going brad, but that isn't the problem. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> It was fine when I bought the computer, until i install dreamweaver, fireworks, flash and my nikon camera. I removed dreamweaver, fireworks, flash and I still have that problem, so i think it must be the stuff my nikon camera installed.

<strong>Fellowship, are those your pictures? If not, do you do any astrophotography? I have gotten into it in the last year or so because of requirements for astronomy classes at school. My school is pretty small, but we have a kickin' observatory, and some of the latest technology for taking pictures of the heavens. You can check out the observatory's site (including student photos) here: <a href="http://www.eastern.edu/academic/trad_undg/sas/depts/physsci/index.html"; target="_blank">The Bradstreet Observatory at Eastern University</a>

In fact, I may spend some time up there tonight.

    Those pictures are not mine.

I love them. I have not done this type of photography. Great photos from your link.

You do it the same way you post a link to a website. Just do it like this:

    (url=xxxx)(img)xxxx(/img)(/url)

...exchanging the round brackets for these [ ]. The xxxx is the URL of your images. The first one is your full sized image, the second is a smaller (like 400x320 or something). Upload both to your server, then post that link.

Here's my desktop as a thumbnail - you should be able to click the Reply button above my post and copy the source to a text editor and check out exactly what I''ve put there.

    HTH.

    u can also try Toy Viewer. <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=4580&db=mac"; target="_blank">click to see</a>

freeware, and very light. scale images and do some other minor operations, faster for those than photoshop and gimp.
