    Not to belabor it, but from the Depression to the 1980's, GDP rose ~70%...~90% of the increased wealth went to the working class. In doing so, creating the largest middle class in the history of the world. (That's a good thing.)

    Since the 1980's GDP rose again by ~70% only this time >90% went to the top 1%. Mainly, due to the wealthy and corporations 'buying' Congress, mainly thru 80,000 pages of tax policy. (That's a bad thing.)

    To put it in simpler terms, the Republicans got us into the worst Recession since the Great Depression and the Democrats got us out of it.
