What's the Geekiest thing you do on your computer?
I would have to say that mine would be downloading porn just for the sake of downloading porn. Sometimes I'd go through my collection and name all the files just for the sake of organizing them.
Or downloading mp3's. Do I really need Pearl Jam's live performances or 5 versions of the same song? That's not bad though. I would have to say that I am guilty of going through the tags and manually entering information like "track number" and "comments" from time to time.
Or downloading icons just for the sake of having a big icon collection.
Like I really change them that much anyway.
Or posting a lot at AI.
Well hey I only do these things to divert myself from the real work I have to do. What's your excuse?

And then I categorise them nicely in iTunes and give them categories, ratings and stuff...

1) Programming. In Assembly, C, VHDL. . . you name it.
2) Overzealous 3D modeling
3) Playing emulated super nintendo games
4) Daring my friends to scour my hard drive for porn that doesn't exist.
-Spending a whole day (or days really) getting my TiBook set up the way I really want it!
<strong>A number of things. Most recently, building custom BootX boot images for friends. So far I've built an Avid image, my Turbo Rodent logo, and one with the new 'Jeep' logo. All of this on a Saturday night too...</strong><hr></blockquote>
this is what he does when his girlfriend is too busy writing papers to get him out of the apartment and interact with the world.
it would be faster to tell what i don't do on or with my computer.
How about interacting with your girlfriend through AI. . .

<strong>How about interacting with your girlfriend through AI</strong><hr></blockquote>If you think this is bad at all, whatever you do don't go to MacNN's forums. Juan and Cheerios make sure that everyone knows that they're dating and living together.
2) posting on AI *crautsch*
3) surfing the web till sunrise
4) whatever
Run Disk First Aid
...wait 20 minutes
Reboot
-if eveything is okay - work (when I'm done, I run First Aid again)
-if not - pull my DiskWarrior CD and reboot in it
...wait an hour and a half.
Reboot

-if not - cry!!!!!!!
My poor two+ year old drive is dying! I think I have gone over the MTBF - that's the geekiest thing I've done with my computer.
:-)
I mess around with icons a lot and like to - about once every couple of months or so - re-think my Dock strategy and see if I can improve on it any.
And I'm always in Illustrator, trying to find the easiest, most efficient way to draw things (iMac, iPod, whatever...).
And lately I've been messing around with iCal, learning to use it.
I guess that's it, really. No SETI or gaming for me. No porn or Hotline downloading.
Oh, one more thing: during particular holiday seasons, I'll download little silly doodads to spruce up my Mac (desktop pics/pattern, themed icons, screensavers, etc.).
Right now, I have that SnowSaver thing (which is REALLY cool) and that Wreath-in-the-Dock thing with the blinking lights.
Silly more than geeky...
I use my computer to communicate.
Sometime searching, like I am looking for a slideshow sofeware for my classic and LC475. Is there any?

<strong>One fine day a few months ago, I renamed all my 1000+ mp3 songs into a nice format: Name of singer -Song Title
And then I categorise them nicely in iTunes and give them categories, ratings and stuff...

aside from the ratings and categories... the rest can be done automatically by iTunes
i find it easy enough to make my own categories by using the "browse" function and command clicking in a few places
