Mac sales are up. This is great. But think what they could be if Apple actually updated the Mac Mini and Mac Pro! Come on Mr. Cook!
Mac sales are actually down -- this is the fewest number sold in a quarter since 2010, but profits on it are up, and the Mac's future is healthy. As Mike said, though -- if Apple updated the Mac Mini and the Mac Pro tomorrow it would have no meaningful impact on overall Mac sales (maybe a tiny bump, at best). Desktops are basically dead (apart from the iMac), and the vast majority of Mac sales are notebooks and have been for nearly a decade now. AI users are not typical users nor frequent Mac buyers, so what matters to represents a very small fraction of what matters to even most Mac buyers, nevermind the far larger scope of "Apple" buyers.
