I'll lose a bit of desk space soon when I get another monitor. I have to have lots of space. I do most of my homework at my desk. I need as much room as possible.

I went to go buy a nice flat panel today... then I realized its a holiday, damnit. It'll have to wait until tomorrow I guess.

Yeah, they sold it. It is a great sim, but I hadn't been able to play it until I got a new joystick. I know you can use a keyboard and mouse, but it's not the same.

About desk size: I have a large desk, its just all being used.

And also I never clean my room.

god- why did apple axe the cube!

I loved that computer! I still want one- it was like the headless iMac w/ a just the right amount of upgradibility! They need to release it again. This time with:

    Single 1 GHz G4 w/ L3 cache

    512 ram

    Ge-Force 4MX 64megs

    slot loading superdrive

and sell it for like $1299 or something

I'd buy such a Cube along with a 20-inch ACD in an instant! But I fear that I'll be forced to buy something else (low-end PowerMac or high-end iMac) instead.

kelib: Looks cool. What kind of work do you do on that wall of screens? Are you an air traffic controller? Is this the control room for a nuclear power plant? Do you work in James Bond's secret spy lab? Give us some insight into your world!

Post your desk and 12-inch PowerBook as well, gyc! It will be fun to compare the two setups.

Thanks mate I'm alwais praud showing people my work place. Actually I work at one of Europe's biggest data centres as a network administrator. What you see on the walls are console terminals for various partitions on 2 seperate OS390 mainframes. You only see the half of the room though. On the other half we have monitors as well as 2 more mainframe partitions.

I don't have a digital camera, or any kind of camera.

Anyway, my computer is just surronded by bottles of hot sauce, cd cases, paper, and a bunch of other junk.

My 12" PB at home. I may have to take it out on the town and get "action" shots soon. Had to take updated pics with my film camera. That digital camera I'm borrowing is attrocious.

trebuchet: I like the way you tied all the cables together. Good cable management is the A and O of a clean efficient desktop. Of course, the only cable I connect to my iBook is power. I don't use anything else.

I still wish we could have an old-style Duo Dock for the 12-inch PowerBook and 12" iBook. IMO, no amount of good cable management beats sliding your 'Book into a small box tucked away under your desk, which then connects to an external display and keyboard.

Yeah. I thought when I switched from a desktop to a laptop, I would have less cables. Boy was I wrong. I have some serious spaghetti going on. With a lot of skinny velcro strips, I've managed to tackle the tangle of cables I have. Plus, it makes it easier to hook back up when I take my 'Book out and about with me.

But the eMacs offer such great value! I am very tempted to pick up a 1Ghz/SuperDrive eMac at the US$1150 educational price. That's tough to beat. It would certainly be a vast improvement over my Rev.A iMac. At least on the eMac the fan shuts off when it sleeps.

Leonis: Those icons on your desktop are huge. What's up with that? At least I'm glad to see you're running Camino.
