The iCurve is expensive and non-portable. Same with that metallic lust-driven luxury stand (stupid, stupid -- "we didn't design it with utilitarian..."). Just go to roadtools.com and get a Podium CoolPad -- elevates it just right and you can put in a bag without problems (take off the height pegs if you want to totally put it in flat, but otherwise fits just above everything else in my bag).

oops I almost left kitty out. It is after all her iBook not mine. She likes to hang out on the bed and watch TV and browse the net. She leads a busy life.

    iCurve upside down? huh. I didn't take the box home seems to work fine maybe i'm starting a new trend like those kids "Criss Cross". {I'll try it the other way <img src="embarrassed.gif" border="0"> }

wow that does work better. Ok a tip to everyone, use the iCurve as Directed. does work the other way too though.

Macally Keyboard is really good, I like it more than the apple pro keyboard I had with my G4 Tower. It feels similar to the 12"pb keyboard. I'm happy. The Ice mouse is good, the wheel is loud, I wish there was a way to make it spin smoother. anyone?

    flick.

Bioflavonoid thanks for the heads up.. ignorance isn't bliss.

I think if I were to get a pb stand I'd go for the over the topness of the kamas stand. It's really cool and more funcional than the other stands I've seen, granted the high cost. (~$120)

I visit a very small message board of about thirty regulars, and I made this post there. Since I'm just too effin' lazy to edit it for this message board, you guys are going to have to make do with the inconsistencies and, in general, the things that will make absolutely no sense to you. That said, enjoy!

Some of you guys know about my Insomnia problems. So I was sitting around, wicked bored, at, like, four in the morning and didn't really have much to do (I decided to give Master Quest a break), and I figured this thread deserved a revival. Only in this post, I'm going to take it to the EXTREME.

I recently moved out of my room, a day-long process. Since Jena might be coming to live here eventually, I thought it would be good to have, you know, a normal living room and stuff. To see what's changed, use my above post as reference. I'll start off a little mundanely before I show up DTS and Ferquin, as I work my way towards the climax...

    The New Desk

Okay, this is my "new" desk (actually, it's just been sitting around in a vacant room). I just sorta cleaned it out. There was a lot of crap in it, but some cool stuff, too, which I'll show you. A mysterious PC that is begging to be tinkered with resides within that lower cabinet (yep, I'm not just a Mac person). Upon closer examination, you can see my ungodly stack of burned discs, a issue of Newsweek (the cover of which a praying GW Bush adorns), and a wrapped motherboard / videocard that will soon find its way into that PC I was talking about. This recently-uncovered paper, which I consider to be one of my finest short works, can be read via this PDF.

Under thing, there is just a bunch of shit, like two opitcal Microsoftian mice, a ADC-DVI/VGA converter, one of those PC controllers, some Apple speakers, a DexDrive, and the recharger to my camera. The contents of this box, unfortunately, will have to remain a mystery.

Anyway, I stumbled upon a reply to some "Classified Information" that I sent to Nintendo Power (for those of you that know what that is). I just thought it was kinda cool to find that after all this time. I also found a plastic-coated 100th Issue of Nintendo Power, actually. Pretty neat.

    The Shrine

I don't know if you recall my old TV (you can check it out for yourself up there), but my bedroom now has a crappy-ass GE TV that doesn't even have A/V inputs. At least I can still watch 24 in bed. But see that monolith in the distance? (Just in case you can't.) I've constructed a shrine to RPG/anime nerd products (starting to get back into that groove, now that Xenosaga is out). Unfortunately, Cerberus was just too freakin' huge to put up there. Same with Odin.

However, I do have some smaller gems. I'm an avid Working Designs fan, and I've got this neato LUNAR 2 watch that once cost me a pretty penny. Speaking of watches, I also happen to have this Arc the Lad Collection pocketwatch. This one was free, though, since it was a pre-order bonus. I've also got the hardcover, full-color guide, which, as you can see, is pretty big-ass, clocking in at almost 600 pages. And thanks to eBay, I managed to get my hands on the ultra-rare version of WD's Albert Odyssey, with that dragon disc. Rounding out the WD crap is a Ghaleon punching puppet that was given to most who preordered LUNAR 2, and the coolest pack-in ever, Lucia's pendant. It's heavier than you'd think. I still have the reciept, too. The back is just as pretty as the front.

Yeah, I do have some other crap, like that WarCraft III Collector's Edition box and some Evangelion figures, but the reason I moved was to get out of my room, so prepare to see the world outside.

    The Kitchen

This is my kitchen table. That big thing right there is actually a mirror. While I'm standing in front of it, I might as well show you the camera that's been doing all this hard work for me. As you can see, I need a haircut and a shave. Yeha, this has just been the week from hell, so I'm not as upbeat as I normally am.

Anyway, yeah, as you can see, I have a fridge, like everyone else. Hell, I even have stuff INSIDE the fridge. Those cabinets contain many half-eaten boxes of cereal. I heard you can use this thing to cook stuff. Still trying to figure it out. Jena knows how, though, so that's good. I'm sure this sink does stuff, too.

    The Living Room

The kitchen table separates the living room from the kitchen, so that's kind of cool, you know, it's like all connected and stuff, so, yeah. You can kinda see what I mean if you keep track of that lamp. So how 'bout that entertainment center, huh? I think that tomato picture up there is just the bomb. The PowerBook returns! "But what happened to the other monitor, Steve?" you'll probably ask. Well, I'm loaning it to Jena for a while, since I don't want her to get cancer from her shitty Dell monitor. Setups that bad-ass, though, deserve another go around.

Here's a whole bunch of games and stuff. Maximo, Pikmin, Xenosaga, and Ratchet and Clank are on hiatus.

And I was afraid it would happen, but the dog has taken over the red couch. More obligatory dog pictures here and here.

By the way, the view from this room is absolutely freakin' incredible. Sure, it doesn't look like much in the dark, I guess, but when it gets a little lighter out, I'll have to show you. Oh, and it hasn't stopped snowing out. Oh, and that whole thing down there, even below the fence, is my back yard (again, I know, not very enviable in the dark, but it's pretty big, trust me).

You know, it's taken me so damned long to type this whole thing out, the sun has actually started to come up, so I guess I'll show you the amazingness, and I'll even throw in a wallpaper (because everyone wants to live through Steve) for keeping you here so long.

    And I'm spent.

EDIT: Thanks for fixing it, Brad.
