Indeed! Those are your creations, right? I was trying to make my own in blues and greens, but didn't quite get the effect I was looking for (copying). Wanna give me some hints? I want to make a bunch of different colored desktops with that crazy swirling.

I'd probably make lines of color to a central point in the document, blur the image, and then apply a radial blur.

    So I better hustle.

There are basic elements of Feng Shui that are just plain logic...like not creating top heavy situations and not exposing corners/edges, especially at eye level. You have done both.

And no, it's not a more money than sense situation since it costs you nothing if you don't hire an "expert." There are basics that every Chinese person probably knows, whether based on superstition, practicality, or aesthetics...like pointing a your house so that it faces north, or toward a substantial landmark is good. Having a hugeass tree in front of your main door...bad.

It really is. I couldn't sit at that table for any long periods of time. It feels just by looking at the image that the G5 is about to fall to the ground... Stupid placement!

Just got a new Windows notebook (or better: "mobile workstation" from my company. The 15" screen has a resolution of 1600x1200 pixel! Of course, everything is rather small, but the display is extremely sharp and better useable than expected.

    Here's mine:

I finally took the plunge and bought a Mac!!! I went for an iMac in the end, rather than a Power Book, as I think a desktop will do me fine.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

Here is a picture of me and my daughter Zoe, who was two and a half months old when this was taken in July. She really likes the iTunes Visualizer.

    [dfiler's setup at home]

That's a $40 computer desk from office max.

It came with the computer shelf under the desk, making it almost worthless until I constructed an outrigger for it. A UPS on the left side provides a counter-balance.

With WiFi, simply unplug the AC and roll it elsewhere... 8)

I should add in my defense that I NEVER use a desk and I had to clear off room just for that shot. Not pictured are my iPod, printer, cd burner, other powerbook, airport base station, etc.

A few other pics that I took of her can be found <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/torifile/gandalf_jr/PhotoAlbum14.html"; target="_blank">here</a> if anyone's interested. Enjoy!

And because it seems that you are sending other stuff here too, well heres the rest of my life in one pic

    1. My guitars: Gibson Les Paul Standard -90, Levin Jazz Orchestra guitar from 1952, Ibanez acoustic

    2. Old pic of my dvd's, have plenty of nowadays (if those 85 in the picture weren't enough)

    3. My telly. 32" flat widescreen panasonic. And yes, that is The Bachelor on screen, my absolute favorite series of all time (sarcasm here)

    4. In order to survive The Bachelor, I need the booze.

    5. Mona the Cat. She likes chewing on cardboard

    6. Minni the Cat. She likes sleeping and eating.

    7. My girl. She likes me and I like her.
