What a ridiculous article. “No sign” of Foxconn plant? Gee, maybe that’s because construction isn’t planned to start until this summer?

Construction was supposed to start last summer, then last fall, then January 10, and now this summer.

Well, at least there's a silver lining in this project's failure for Illinois residents along the Fox and Des Plaines rivers. The spring and summer flooding problems would be a lot worse with more paved areas upstream along with water diverted from Lake Michigan.

And, while building the factory complex might have provided jobs for some Northeastern Illinois contractors, it's likely that very few of the factory employees would choose to buy or rent in Illinois given our stunningly high taxes.

I actually live in this small. What a Very misleading headline, such B.S. in this article & so people chiming in based off of this intentionally misleading agenda driven headline.  They have already have 1 facility up coordinating the construction & othe logistics. They are well into making all of the Land properties they've already purchase in development, all kinds of construction related personel are working out there constantly for mant months,  Only main concern we have in this area is with Wisconsin & America being at near full employment who is going to move here to work at these ne facilities.

SE Wisconsin has always had a strong manufacturing base. Good rail, road, and air connections. Large supply of skilled workers. Lower cost of business compared to the Chicago Metro, but with close enough proximity to its manufacturing base, SE WI is an ideal place for a manufacturing facility.

Voting Democratic seems bad for business.
