    Criticising or making fun of some of Apple's pricing decisions does not mean a person hates Apple.

    This could possibly be an alternative to Apple's likely outrageous priced SSD's by placing an industry standard SSD (just saw a Samsung 1TB being sold for $149) in an adaptor and sliding into this box. Just a thought…

    There are loads of SATA PCI-E cards already. MacOS has support for NVMe boot drives via PCIe as well.
