I would focus on a totally different aspect of this motor, so it wouldn't need active cooling and weigh a lot less.
These automotive motors can be several hundred horsepower. Even at high efficiency they’re bleeding the equivalent of several horsepower as heat. How do you propose a motor based passive cooling system would work? Do you think all of these engineers don’t understand the problem? And if you make the motor smaller, it just gets hotter. My  industrial motors for my machinery are bigger, and heavier than the same power motors used for home equipment, because my equipment works them harder. And few uses work a motor harder than automotive use.

Induction Motors and vfds are already tried and tested, they and sturdy, durable and reliable, Hope apple focuses on developing a battery that is as durable as an Induction Motor, one that charges faster, lasts longer, has more power, more compact, lighter and is not manufactured in China.
