As the sides and buttons are normally covered by a case, now what?

I'll take a stab at this: design cases for the model(s) in question that don't cover the button.

I've read that banks give wealthy customers a secondary PIN that works perfectly, but also acts as a silent alarm that you are withdrawing the money under duress.
    Oh. now that’s cool af!

Anyway, can’t wait for this new phone I can’t afford 🤩🤓😖😂😭

I have to say that any form of Touch ID on the iPhone is a winner for me.  If Apple ever drops it altogether that will be the end of the iPhone for me.  I bought a Xr and used it for exactly two days; absolutely hated Face ID.  I couldn't unlock my phone while leaving it set on a table and it never recognized me with sunglasses on. It was a constant pain in the butt that I just couldn't deal with daily.

Why not put Touch ID power buttons on all iPhones too. Then you’ve got dual options, or even a choice of requiring both for maximum security.
Hoping for this in iPhone 12.   It’s a no-brainer in this masking world.   Big miss without it.
