Ok, a problem. While trying to get the oxygen readings set up, I couldn’t find the app on the phone in the Health app. I checked everywhere. It was on the watch. I checked the App Store, but it only downloads to the watch. I checked Apple’s site, and read the information there. Nope.
so I thought that maybe the phone watch app defaulted to my 5. It didn’t, but it thinks my new watch is the 44mm with the aluminum case. That doesn’t have the sensor, and so it wasn’t showing up in the health app. So I unpaired, and went through the process again. But it still thinks it’s the aluminum model. Then it went through a strange OS update, non update to 7.1. But it didn’t, and both watches say 7.0 up to date. Don’t know what’s going on there.
so if I’m not too lazy tonight, maybe I’ll try a manual pairing and see if that works. Otherwise, I’ll call Apple tomorrow, because I don’t know what to make of this.

Have you ensured to update from either iOS 13 or from beta iOS 14 to final release. I had a similar problem and realised I was still on the final beta release. Resolved upon update. Hope this helps.

Yes, I’m updated to the final release. I haven’t had time yet today to try syncing manually, and it’s a pain, but I’m going to try later, before call8ng Apple.
Nope, even with manual ser-up, it still thinks it’s the aluminum model, even though it’s engraved as SS, and when setting up, the face of the watch says it’s stainless. I don’t know what’s going on here. The past two tries on auto I had a restore from last backup from my SS 5. This time I tried as a new watch, but nope. I guess it’s call Apple later when I’m ready to bother. Previously, I’d just go to the Apple store, a good excuse, but now...
