All i would like is my Mini HomPods to connect to my Samsung tv with out buying and extra piece.like Apple TV.  I have Apple TV +. that should be enough.
ATV+ is a video streaming service and has nothing to do with HomePods.

HomePods are Apple-only hardware and not general Bluetooth speakers.
On my Samsung Smart tv, the show up as bluetooth, but will not connect like my AirPods.   Just think they should.  Awsone speakers.
They don't because they aren't BT speakers -- BT is lower-bandwidth that the higher-fidelity audio signals HPs use which are part of why they sound better. They use wifi and BT, but the BT is for device communication, like handshakes.
There's no reason the HPs can't support over Bluetooth the same high fidelity audio that the AirPods use - likely 256kbps AAC, since both support BT 4. 256kbps is not a lot of bandwidth for Bluetooth to deal with. Apple is just trying to push Airplay.

I don't think you're correct. Higher-bandwidth protocols allow for more data and thus higher fidelity. Every wifi-powered speaker I've heard sounds better than Bluetooth.

HomePods are a walled garden product that have higher fidelity than Bluetooth speakers, by design. Being upset about that is misunderstanding what the product is.

That's likely to be because Bluetooth speakers just tend to just be cheaper speakers. It doesn't matter whether the underlying connection is 400mbps or 4mbps if you're sending a 256kbps stream over it that's been downloaded from Apple. It doesn't get compressed again to go over the physical connection whether that be WiFi or Bluetooth. That's like saying you should have motorways highways everywhere because everyone will get from A to B faster even though the country only uses bikes. Like I said, the Airpods are essentially Bluetooth. They're great quality.

Apple could open up the BT stack so that it does pair, and would no doubt increase HP sales as it would work with way more stuff. No one is buying any other Apple stuff because they have a HP. The HP is right at the bottom of the food chain. Apple is trying to push its proprietary Airplay instead of BT. Wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so buggy.

I'm kinda worried now that HomePod is dead, if they'll ever update the Mac OS to support stereo pair output.

Why would they not? The same support for the original HomePod carries over to the HomePod mini.

It's still an AirPlay 2 stereo pair.
