Actually the new Apple font that they use on the iMac, eMac, PowerBook, PowerMac and apple.com is...

    In Photoshop 7.0

    Myriad Pro

    Anti-aliasing method Strong

Then Blending options -> Blend mode- Normal ->

Opacity- 100, Noise- 0, Technique- Precise, Spread- 0,

Size- 1, Contour- Linear, Range- 100, Jitter- 0

For Type Size lower than 24 set the size to 0

Did some research and they use that font on all the models now.

So Myriad is the name of the new font on all products and the website. What's the name of the one they used before?

Is that one in Photoshop too?

No it's Apple Garamond. They used it for years, even since before the Macintosh came out. I remember seeing it on old Apple II ads.

I'm just glad it came right out as a direct photo.

I mean a bit of photoshop work (add in a OSX screen shot, alter the font, and in some blur & muck around with the contrast and brightness, for that top secret hidden camera look), and the Apple rumor mill would go into overdrive.

Interesting... how many of you guys actually think these tablet computers are here to stay?

I was sort of doubting I could need one, but I don't know... I'm having second thoughts now... specially if it runs OSX and has a docking station for keyboard and mouse connectivity. Sort of like taking the iMac's screen to school... that would be nice.

Sure they've copied the font, the iMac swiveling arm, used similar materials in the casing...but did you notice these guys are making something called an "iBook"!

So where's Apple legal on this one? These guys make eMachines look original...

When and if it comes out, Apple's tablet is not going to be a iBook derived version with a touch screen. According to almost all reports it will be MUCH SMALLER with an 8 1/2 inch screen. If you are expecting a full-service computer then you will be in for a disappointment.

These guys are pathetic, really! They couldn't even come up with an original name.
