without getting into the disgusting or offensive categories, please...

and it doesn't have to be one you own, but ideally searchable somehow

and we might add another category for misheard ones. lazy people can click here for inspiration

what do you consider the coolest band/album name?

a few that came to mind:

Jaron Lanier (the first all virtual reality glove performance) ~ One Hand Clapping

a Vancouver band with a mostly female audience (accurately) called: Chixdiggit

almost Engrish Japanese bands like All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku

from the playful, Amazing Circus Midgets

to the oxymoronic... No use for a name

but my favourite album name (vinyl issue only, seen on napster but never since): The Polyestah Manifestah

so what laughable labels lurk in your library or link lists?

    LimoZeen rocks. So does Lazor

Personally i think the best band names are one word names. Much quiker and easier to spit out. Three or four syllables max, I'd say. Interestingly, most of the great bands in history tend to have really simple names.

That's actually just the name of an Anime OAV. She's very cute... but has the brain of a cat (literally).

I always thought Scared of Chaka was a cool band name. Too bad youngsters won't even know the reference heh, two pts for you over-30 folks if you can name it. Good lo-fi punk stuff.

Warlock Pinchers had a record named Circusized Peanuts. Had a picture of some hardshell peanuts in a circus ring hehe. I think a "warlock" is another word for a joint. That album had a great song names too... Morrisey Rides A Cockhorse and Where The Hell Is Crispin Glover. Probably not the best band ever, but funny names.

Someone already mentioned the Butthole Surfers, and I think they also have some great album names like Hairway to Steven and Locust Abortion Technician.

I thought DJ Shadow's Endtroducing... was a clever album name as well.
