is that the part that helps with reading comprehension?
relevant here as well:
Have you ever posted anything that stood up to scrutiny? How about when you posted that the US had the largest reserves of oil and it just turned out that it had the largest oil shale resources? How about when you then linked to a page saying it represented a profitable company and it clearly stated the company made no money, even using the word unprofitable!
How about in this thread where you state "we don't know if they broke seals to get to it" when we know they did!
How about when you quoted the end of the article about DynCorp asking if everyone invovled got fired when the entire article was about how everyone at all levels of the company were involved. The firing of the 5 employees as you quoted happened before every other event talked about in the article!
Yet even with this long, long track record (and these are just the big ones I remember from the past week) you say I have a problem with reading comprehension?!?!?! are you completely insane?
My point with the Toyota Corolla and if it is fast or not depends.
What are you compaing it to? To a bicicle sure it is fast.
Compared to a Dodge Viper it is slow.
The same is true with the Question "Is Fox News Conservative.

I guess you're right. Clinton was a conservative, you know (because Wellstone was more liberal). And Jesse Helms was a liberal (because some right-wing nut was more conservative).
CLINTON IS STILL A LIBERAL
JESSE HELMS IS STILL A CONSERVATIVE
Do you get what I'm saying?
I would be more than happy to answer an argument that says Fox News is not conservative. I almost dare you to provide one.

Greetings Shawn,
You know I view Fox as "conservative" but I only do so to the degree that Fox comes across to me as less liberal than some of the others in the same business. It is not so much that Fox is a mouthpiece for say the Republican party as it is simply more balanced than some of the others in the media. I just don't care to watch a network that always second guesses the actions of the US. Sure it is ok to second guess anything a conservative government does but to over-focus on second guessing everything a conservative does is a key reason I would speculate that Fox is so very successful.
And to directly answer your question, Yes I "get" what you are saying.

Look! How about just a simple getting-the-facts-wrong/suppressing-the-story thing. Please! Somebody! I know prayer on television is right up there with Dennis Franz's tushie on NYPD Blue and all---but how about some obfuscation!

Fellowship, we're all more than familiar with Fox's marketing messages. It's like an essay test, you don't have to repeat them in your answer.

Shawn not only is Fox fair and balanced but I would suggest that yours truly (FCiB) had a very fair and balanced reply in the "Decline of Europe" thread. Did you see what I said in that thread? If you did then you must at least see signs that I am not a knee jerk Conservative.
First off, I have to admit that I didn't vote. Second, I would consider Fox as conservative to be a good thing (less junk to filter out).
But conservative compared to what? TheSeattle Times , which I browse? Well, of course not. (That paper takes liberal to all new levels--and they can't write at that paper either.) The Wall Street Journal (my favorite)? Not even close. WSJ kicks butt.
10 Great Moments in Jingoism, including several tidbits that futher nail shut the coffin regarding whether or not Fox News is conservative:

3. And now, a word from our sponsor ...
Rather than stick to its version of "fair and balanced" news coverage, Fox News often opted for a much simpler, direct route: looping gratuitous speech excerpts by President Bush, including agitprop like, "The vise is closing, and the days of a brutal regime are coming to an end" and "Against this enemy we will accept no outcome except complete victory." The clips were not related to any story or feature, they were usually just used to lead into or out of commercial breaks, to make sure they maintained a pro-war state of mind, we guess.
1. The Osama-Saddam connection
Ultimately, Fox wins the top prize not for its relentlessly pro-war anchors and news angles, but for the simple graphic that so often brought viewers back from commercials. "War on Terror" the intro began, before whooshing off the screen as a new phrase jumped on and took its place: "Target: Iraq."

The basic for enlisting is this ... be 17 with your parents consent, have a
High School Diploma, be a US Citizen, and lastly have no law violations. If
you meet this, then we can take the next step. Good luck to you.
btw, what does this have to do with FOX news again?
