Connection type/speed survey
Rather than respond by thread to MGG's question here about who's on what, here's a poll.
Multiple responses are permitted in this poll,
but please, only to indicate different connections from work and home
I've included a few more obscure options given our global community,
though with only ten options, Satelitte and Microwave aren't unique options (under wireless perhaps)
let's see what we get

I am moving soon and don't know what is available where I am going . . .but want to choose the fastest available
So I voted for "T1 or greater" and "ISDN" even though it should be "Office/University LAN" and "IDSL." Yeah, I'm kinda weird.
For a ridicules low price of $7 per month.
I´m the one with the implant.

whichever one is not available will be faster
different companies throttle their cable and dsl differently, so it's hard to speak globally
and SPJ, Airport to cable should be a vote for "Cable"...
the "Wireless" option was intended mainly for cellular packet radio modem or other non-wired access
(satellite, microwave, etc). should have clarified that further.
airport rules
like everything else, took the "etc." option a bit too liberally.

How much per month? I have a cable modem 1700/256 and comcast up-ed the rate to $70 a month. I'm looking into a equal DSL speed.
Cable via airport at home
T1 via University LAN

Test servers in US give 1,5 mbit right now. Damn slow internet backbone
