    Carrying Sweeney’s metaphor further, Sweeny’s tracking the Mac/kid moves not Apple.  He could have removed the tracking any day over the  years since stolen.  So he is the creep that continues to stalk the kid with no intention of recovering his Mac. 

    He’s the stalker, not Apple. He controls whether it tracks, not Apple.
