If no religion is the way to go then what is your story for creation? I mean really, how can you look at all the world has to offer from trees to multi-celled creatures and all the other things nature has to offer and say that there is no creator with some knid of great mind. Take us as humans for a great example. With organs and systems and cells all working together--there has to be some kind of explanation for this. Just what I think, but I may very well be wrong.

I'll try to not go into the religion debate, because I know that's a very touchy subject.
I don't think anything was created by any one 'creator'. Since we don't know the creation of the universe [since it's basically just a collective of theories at the moment], it's hard to ponder the growth of cells/organisms to it's current state.
I just don't believe in any religion. I would really tell you what I think, but this thread would become hatred rather quickly

Thats fine. You think what u want. I'll think what I want. We all have our own rights to believe what we want. I don't know all the answers and I would be curious to see what you had to say. I have been raised in a Christian home and have been reminded time and time again that the church never really gave you any room to question your faith, but I am starting to at the moment and find what people have to say about there religions. Please feel free to share what your think--I really doubt this thread could turn into that of one with hate. After all, it's what you believe in, you shouldnt be affraid to back it up.

The story of creation is simple: We don't know it yet. We will strive to know it but we will not settle for made up bullshit to satiate the desire to eliminate the unknown.
I can't believe that on a web forum devoted to all things Apple, that ritualistically produces frenzied posts about the second coming, third coming, umpteenth coming of hardware product whatever, that continually and fanatically fends off the apocalyptic ("The End of Apple") claims of windows trolls, and that bows down to the messianic wonder of our redeemer Steve (jesus christ Pose) Jobs who with his prophetic RDF literally walks on Aqua...
What can't I believe? That no one has yet said that Apple is the best religion!
...sorry, got a little carried away with my self there....
there is no best religious. organized religions suck. all they do is cause war and terror. they cause people to be judgmental as well
besides, most of my friends went to cathloic schools and most of them are messed up and did drugs ie pot.
a few years ago i had life threatning surgery and i currently have health issues, always will.
have most of my friends been there for me? NO
so tell me, what good did religion do for them?
for most of them ... they repeat how they will have an eternal life (how ever they call it) ... and on the meanwhile, they are scared about living because they are afraid of death. if they believed what they were repeating they won't be. i am statistically catholic (and hate weddings and funerals, but if i go ..) when i go to funerals i don't cry. there is nothing on the other side that scares me. everyone else seems normally to cry, and because they are afraid to die themselves .. maybe a fraction of a moment they realize the nice car, house filled with stuff, shining everything in the life won't last forever?
If you don't cry because of some idea about the other side then I wonder how you show your love for those that are with you?
I think that people cry for loss and for missing people they love not an abstract idea about god or faith or after-life
'God' - grow out of that word and into something bigger
if you have seen even a "preview" of what is on the other side, you know you will see your beloved friends again. being with the people i care, i try to optimize the time. i am here today, so are they, and tomorrow might be different. so i might as well enjoy the life with them today.

I follow Frisbeetarianism. Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.
Speaking as a tolerant atheist, ( ie you believe what you want ) that was a great post Scott.
Anyone see this onion article?
