How funny. For me it's the exact opposite. I absolutely cannot stand the brushed metal interface of Safari. IMO, brushed metal should have stayed confined to QT and iTunes. Not only do I use Camino because it's fast, efficient, and standards-compliant. I use Camino because it's gorgeous! The default Camino icons, in "Icon Only" mode, offer a perfect compromise between space and visibility. IMO, the icons in Safari are too small to be useful. At that point you might as well hide the entire toolbar.

I use the old icons from the 0.4 days for Forward, Back, Home, Reload, Stop, and Print. Those, I thought, were the best icons that any browser has had. But I completely agree that brushed metal should have stayed with QT and iTunes. Most importantly, Camino *is* gorgeous; such a simple and elegant browser. ^_^
Well, after reading so much about Camino, decided to try it and absolutely loved it. I had been using Mozilla and found it solid at first, but Camino changed my mind and now only have Safari first, Camino second.
I started using Mozilla since my Windows ME days, and it actually reduced the crashes to like one a day, maybe less.
I still find Safari just a tad faster than Camino, but it is really hardly noticeable, I'm still testing to see which I will use more.
Safari Chimera, but with a patchwork of buttons from other themes. I was using CaminoMetal's .nib files, but experienced too many bugs so now I use Metalfizer on Camino. Yeah, I dig the brushed metal, although I do change back to Aqua every once in awhile.
I run Camino as my main web browser. On my machine it is the fastest. 0.7 is relatively stable, and usually loads the webistes I frequent without any problems.
On the rare occasion where I run into a problem, I use IE - which, compared to Camino, moves at a slug's pace.
Safari is OK, not as great or as fast as some people make it out to be. I too don't like the brushed metal appearance. I would rather have an option in Safari's preferences that would allow me to select an "Aqua" appearance.

Which theme do you run w/Camino?
