So... no one noticed Tim Burton's homage to Fritz Lang's 1926 film Metropolis with his Belfry scene ending?

Maybe there is no homage and I am just losing my mind \

I didn't notice, but then I don't think I've ever sat through an entire showing of Metropolis. If you read the bit I posted about John Korty then you'll see that Burton has no fear in quoting from other film-makers.

Oh yeah, Batman could beat the Hulk because the Hulk is a big CGI cartoon now....gee whiz did they screw that movie up, at least from the trailers anyway.

IMDb doesn't have anything on it yet, and they usually put in an entry pretty early on, even if there's not really any info. Who knows, we shall see.

Chris Nolan is rewriting and reinventing Batman as we know it: you'll see the much darker side of Bruce Wayne. Actually, you'll notice that Bruce Wayne's schitzophrenia has gotten to the point where Batman is the real person and playboy Wayne is the alter-ego. It definitely should be interesting.

Also, as far as Batman kicking everyone's ass, it's more than likely, given the circumstances. What has been lost in the Burton films and lately in the comics is the fact that Batman is the world's greatest detective. He doesn't rely on gadgets but they use them in the movies and tv shows to sell toys and bring in the techies and geeks.

Batman is a genius. It's that simple. He has beat Superman before because he outsmarted him. Clark Kent is nothing but a big boy scout with super powers raised on a farm; in other words, he's not too bright. Batman beat him because he outsmarted him, and he could outsmart most of the superheroes out there. That's why he doesn't have super powers, he was originally supposed to be the greatest detective ever. Again, they threw in all the gadgets to spruce it up.

However, if Wolverine ever had him cornered, it'd be all done.
