Well I finally saw T3...sigh...it was ai-ight. Nothing to really write home about. Basically the format was let's make T2 over again except with newer and bigger special effects. If you think about it, T3 pretty much ripped off virtually every single T2 motif there was and just re-adapted it for a 2003 presentation. It added nothing new (like the way T2 was to original T). I didn't even feel any empathy for any of the characters by the end, not even the good Terminator which obligingly has to die in the end. I guess that is the difference between a James Cameron sci-fi production and somebody else's. The plot twist about this good Terminator's former identity was clever, though.

...and what's this "talk to the hand" bit?! That would have been a cool quip if it had been done in T2 era, but trying to do that now is just plain pathetic. What decade are these scriptwriters living in?

...and the TX tasting blood for the first time to scan DNA?! Whys'it got to be all sexual? That was pretty cheap (completely unnecessary).

...and the girl?! She just lost her fiance (due to unfortunate encounter with TX), and she is already starting to "bond" with ole John Conner? Stangin' ho. I'd expect a mourning over my death for at least 2 or 3 days.

Oh well. I'd still see a T4, even though it doesn't deserve a sequel. After all, they are in the thick of post-Judgement day now- got to see how it turns out now...

Hahahahaha, I saw T3 a few days ago and it rocked hard. I didn't go expecting some great story and I did go expecting some good ol Arnold lines and it was great. Good old fashion blowing the shiat out of everything you see was great. Not to mention the first scene with the nukes it was cool.

i was surprised, and i liked the end, not what i was expecting. puts them into an odd spot for the 4th installment though. i'm guessing producing and entire moving during the fallout of the attack would cost a fortune.

i thought the concept of a liquid metal over a regular metal skin was a good one, and just about the only option left. gives her the option to do things that a liquid metal terminator wouldn't be able to do.

I, like alcimedes mentioned above, really liked the ending. And I think it allows them to create a completely different type of movie if T4 is ever created. A cool post-apocalyptic world could provide the scene for a very interesting movie.

    I liked it, but I wonder....will they really make a 4th movie?

one great attention-to-detail thing in T3, apparently the Tiem traveling orb thing gives off a lot of heat. So when Ahnold arrives in the past, he's in a desert sort of area, on the sand, but the intense heat turns it all to a sheet of glass. I liked that.

    Anders,

Obviously your not really a Sci-fi Noire aficionado otherwise you would have appreciated that the grand mummy of all these "dark "sci-fi-human Vs machines film was released in the 1920's

    Fritz Lang's

    M E T R O P O L I S

..I could imagine you appreciating it..Very gloomy..but with some hope.
