Yeah, I'm starting to see this kind of angst emerging in connection with Framemaker, with people speculating that Adobe will drop FM for the Mac, but keep the Windoze and Unix versions. Which is all highly strange, since the Mac market must be larger than the Unix market, and besides, an OSX version of FM should share much of the same code as the Unix version.
My armchair diagnosis here is that many Apple users have gotten used to worrying about the health of their platform, but the news at WWDC (G5, Panther) makes it hard to sustain these fears. So instead some people have taken to worrying about Adobe.
The bottom line is that Adobe is in the business of selling applications, and it will do so wherever it is feasible to do so, taking into account development costs, product focus, etc. Premiere couldn't compete with FCP, so they pulled the Mac version. So what? Extrapolating from this sensible business decision to a self-destructive vendetta against Apple is clearly not warranted.
