Sorry , I just felt your, and the two next posts, where totally unnecessary, pointless, and sort of typical of a lot of posts here at AI.

LOL! It is rare that I ever bother with a post like my last. Just felt in the mood I guess. Didnt have anything else better to do. I generally dont fall into the "Typical Poster" class normally.
What about those of us with broadband connections, who are already starting to use the internet (for entertainment) more than the television.
I don't have cable, but I watch CNN newscasts, music videos, and live Macworld broadcasts.
My wife and I are toying with the idea of replacing our (13" and ancient)TV with a 17" iMac and one of those Eye TV boxes.
It would take up the same amount of space, give us a DVD player/burner, a Tivo substitute, and be our MP3 jukebox... not to mention being a digital picture frame when the sceensaver turns on.
Now imagine this w/ a 46" wall mounted widescreen...
I _CAN NOT_ be the only one who would think that would rock.
We could watch the news on one window while looking up stuff they're talking about on another.
I don't think that would be possible on a 17'" screen like the iMac (although it would be a huge improvement over what we have now).
Personally, I think a lot of more narrow interest television is going to move over to the internet, and maybe if that takes off, mainstream TV might offer stuff too.

<strong>Only the rich or the crazy can afford those displays.

It all seems to be hinging on broadband adoption.

<strong>Umm, I would love a large screen like that to work on daily.
I have a 22" flat panel now and would love to have a wall mounted display to work off of and get back even more room on my desk.
I can see this happening just as easliy as hard rives getting larger.

Me too Masker. Besides, my Cube plays DVDs on my CinemaDisplay better than does my Panasonic DMR-E30 which I cannot get to work with my Sony 19" TV
