Ahem...the point is that as so many westerners never consider for a moment the possible impact of their culture on 'other' societies (or else try to gloss-over it) that the un-named Professor's theory is almost impossible to refute. Unless, of course, the refuter refuses to accept the validity of those other cultural forms (I hear this has been known to happen) which in itself proves the accusation to be correct.
Okay, maybe someone should start a poll on this.. "Does the English accent really sound so evil?" According to most Hollywood films it does.
Of course there's one that just takes it too far, Star Wars. In the prequels when Anikin Skywalker is young and innocent he has an American accent, then when he grows up to become the evil Darth Vader he adopts an English accent - and somewhere in between he's Canadian?! Coincidence, I don't think so...
I dunno... I think eastern Europeans make excellent villians.
Just look at the goons from Air Force One for instance. That war-torn, anti-Kremlin solidarity thing carries both an aire of intelligence and desparation that make for good villians. Those Brits seem far too refined if you ask me -- even when they're wacking innocent people....

Which unknown professor?
