Are you insinuating that it's impossible that, if our military were planting weapons, they might make a mistake? Is it impossible that our military might make mistakes? I think they do, even if it seems improbable to you.

No, not the least bit. I agree that our military is capable of making mistakes and big ones. I just making the point that he said such an operation would be "a piece of cake", and if such an operation were a piece of cake then it probably shouldn't have fallen apart so easily, and apparantly, the first time they tried to do it.

If they were or are planting weapons of mass destruction, I don't think it would be so simple because of the number of people involved and the strategic aspect of accomplishing such a mission.

I agree. There is an apparant discrepancy in how some people portray our government and its capabilities.

Hang on, this man controls all the major news outlets and the majority of the American people? Wow! Does his omnipotency reach to the BBC, ITN , Reuters, AP, the Australian/Canadian/Indian media etc? Didn't the media help in the process of removing a corrupt president in the 70's? So perhaps the President isn't so ipso-facto all powerful , and there were less news outlets then. But of course it's only Fox that is ignoring this story. PS-if it was true then the git can burn in hell.

And his power, while not all powerful, don't preclude him from being incompetent.

I understand but isn't it convenient that no one but these two or three folks happened to find out the truth? I mean if Bush is such a moron, wouldn't he do something really dumb like leave a semen stain on an intern's dress or something like that?!? Likewise wouldn't the world wide news media be all over something that would show the U.S. government in the absolute worst light and also likely impeach a president?

You are forgetting that you are dealing with a group of people who believe that if a story is being told , it must be atleast a little true. National Enquirer must be telling the truth too..after all they are telling a story, so it must have a kernal of truth.

It is inconceiveable to some that if Bush and his crew were going to plant WMD in Iraq, then they would have done it during the war...this would provide better publicity as it would have shown immediate benefits of the war. It would have been an easier environment to do the op in, as everything is pretty hectic.

No, the Bush cabal wasn'y thinking..they decided to wait and built anticipation before planting the evidence.

The problem with this story is that of the 100 soldiers who got sick almost all them are in different units. Some even got sick before the war started.

Plus if you were hauling fake WMD wouldn't you have the Navy Seals or Deltaforce do the job instead of regular GIs. And for this to be credible more than one location of WMD will have to be found. One barrel of gas wont cut it for most of the world.

What a shame for America that this hugely expensive scheme is all in the cause of authoritarianism, militarization, empire building, greed, religious infiltration of government, nepotism and elitism....and hoodwink the public that it's all part of the "war on terrorism". This government's main tool is fear, and they are playing the fear card with a very skilled hand.

So what you are saying is Gore (another name dynasty) should have hired better people so he could hide is incompetence while ruling from on high.

Likewise with your characterization of the government. Has it really changed that much in what, 2.5 years? Did I miss something where the whole bill of rights was taken away. Are there some death camps I didn't find out about?

Likewise not only has he hoodwinked the public, but every news organization in the world. What an amazing display of competence from such an incompetent man. As for the government's tool of fear. That to me is the tool of the left.

Have you read a single report that hasn't said that sexism, rape, and racism is up in American and on college campuses? Global warming, tax cuts leaving people starving in the streets, etc. The hysterics and fearmongering I hear are always from the left.

So what the conservatives around here are saying is that it's impossible because you don't like it. That's just not intelligent.

According to this article Bush was just following through with Clinton's plan...

This one proves that Clinton did "invade" Iraq afterall. What he accomplished is still a mystery to me, though.

Any of you who are still up in arms about us liberating Iraq maybe should take a gander at this article.

There's plenty more where that came from, too.

It shows that Bush actually did serve in the military! I guess all those conspiracy theories about his skipping out on his duties are wrong.

Oh dear. Just because I rail at Bush automatically gives you the impression I'm a Gore supporter. Just recall those ridiculous fake debates before the 2000 "election", where Gore and Bush were "debating" those oh-so-carefully screened and rehearsed "questions" for the corporate media on primetime for the benefit of the rope-a-dopes...and they agreed with each other on over 80% of all the topics discussed. Gore, Bush...same old, same old...why is it that both parties are owned, controlled and funded by big corruption, steered by thousands of K-street lobbyists and DC whores, and nobody gives a damn? The American people? Never 'eard of 'em...

    (1)Yes it has...and (2) I dont know the answer to that..I don''t have the necessary Q-clearance.

Not in the world...but in the US. How come 60% of all Americans believe that WMD have been found in Iraq? How come 82% of the US public believe that Iraqis were on those planes....how come over 50% believe that Saddam masterminded 9-11? This admin hoodwinked the public by lies and deception, and the conservative-owned conglomerate media (which "educates" 90% of the US public) humbly followed, like so many obedient sheep being rounded up.

If you're talking about Gore...agreed. Incompetent, bland, owned and...pathetic. If you're talking about Bush...agreed. Incompetent, misled, and surrounded by some of the most dangerous, greedy, malicious and evil people ever to disgrace American public life.

I live in a large city with numerous colleges. Women are being raped. Whether it's going up or down is immaterial...*one* rape is one too many. Or does the criminality of rape infringe mens rights?

    Global warming,

Are you a climatologist/meteorologist/oceanographer etc? The consensus is that global warming is a reality. The causes are unclear...but there *is* correlation between an acceleration of global warming and human industrial activity in the last 150 years. Why do the right politicize this so much? Because environmental responsibility affects short term corporate profits...?

    tax cuts

Thats a joke. Tax cuts! We need to be taxed no more than is necessary, but no less than what it takes to maintain essential public services.

leaving people starving in the streets, etc.

You know who's starving in the streets? Some 40% of homeless folk you see panhandling, dirty, drunk and laying in the gutter are ex war-veterans. These are formerly proud soldiers who served to "fight for their country" (read enrich defense contractors). These are people who are broken, shell shocked, mentally incapacitated by the stress of experiencing the horror of warfare. The biggest fight these people had aren't just against the manufactured enemy...but with the Pentagon and V.A. as well..who routinely treat them like dirt after they done the visibly sexy stuff...ie combat duties. Bush and co. are constantly wrapping themselves in the flag and talking the war-talk...but ordinary people who do the dirty work or get themselves killed, by going to fight based on lies and deception. are shafted. The Bush admin. plans to cut veterans' benefits by $18 billion over the next 10 years. The program to occupy and rebuild Iraq meanwhile may cost an extra $100 billion. Big business close to the admin (KBR, Halliburton, Carlyle etc) wins, yet again, and the people taking the heat get screwed, yet again.

I take it you heard that thousands of people who voiced an anti-war opinion during the run up to the Iraq war are now on and FBI "No Fly" list. Isn't that fun...if you wrote a letter to the paper criticizing Bush...you may not be allowed to get on a plane. Is the First Amendment dead? What's America coming to? The paranoia is coming from the extreme right.

Really? I didn't realize that the patriot act and the 'defensive' war in Iraq were started by the left.

Ohhh....I see. You were just lying. Sorry I misread that.

the problem with this story, besides the fact that Nelda Rogers doesn't exist, is that the wording is remarkably similar to this one:

Somehow this one lady knows all there is to know about WMD, Chandra Levy, Gold Bullion, the war in IRAQ, and why the space shuttle blew up? Come on, are you really that gullible/stupid/ignorant?

You're an idiot. Did you get those stats from the same website you got your conspiracy theory letter? I would've thought that you would known you're not that great at doing research or using common sense from your first post. Guess I was wrong.

Come to think of it, I bet you just misinterpreted whatever stats were actually present to suit your conspiracy theory buddies.
