Thanks for the link. All right, I'll admit I'm an idiot and I apologize sammi jo. I would've given the public a little more credit for not being so stupid. In my experience, though, I shouldn't be surprised. However, I am interested in the original poll questions.

One question about the poll that I think is still a little bit circumspect is that people believe Iraqis were among the hijackers. I just can't imagine all the media attention given to the hijackers that some could actually believe Iraqis were among them. Oh well!

Again, I apologize sammi jo and will call myself an idiot.

Giant, you must admit, though, given the first link he posted when starting this thread was a bit ridiculous. I know if groverate ever posted a link to a website like that then you and bunge would never let him live it down. I mean, you two even use sources that are respectable when you post links. I just made the assumption sammi jo had done it again. I guess that's what I get for assuming; makes me an ass.

    Regards!

I find those stats about misbeliefs about the war, 911, and Iraq, completely believable... but unless you can show me widespread media sources *saying* those things, I'll chalk it up to the same sort of idiocy in this country that has nearly *half* of American adults thinking that the Sun goes around the Earth. Seriously.

People are idiots. They don't need a conspiracy to screw facts up... even simple ones that are self-obvious to the rest of us.

People are just idiots. It's just that (sadly) simple.
