The way I like to set up home networks is: DSL modem --> 4 port SMC barricade DSL/Cable Router --> one Airport and one hub in each computer room.
Although you could use wireless for all of the computers, I almost always recommend against it -- you are better off with ethernet cables.

I set up my network by connecting the DSL modem to the ABS, and then the ABS to my Cube via Ethernet, and the ABS to my eMac, in another room, with Airport. It works great.
