I'm not happy about this... but I would still like to be able to use the functionality....
Paul, don't do this. If you're on a university network, chances are they're watching for this type of thing so they have a reason to shut streaming down entirely. Of course, if you want to, that's your own business.... I'm sure Barto and Eugene would have differing opinions.
BUT Rendezvous sharing is completely different. Hotline became pure warez, whereas R.S. has other uses. And even if it did become total warez, at least it's user friendly warez.
And the reason myTunes and the previous Mac programs were great is because they were convienient. Audio Hijack is not. Basically, without R.S., people just go back to SMB or AFP.
PC users are morons. They screw up everything. Look what happened to Hotline.
Hmm... mighty aggressive here aren't we? Look, I used to be a PC user. For several years I wanted a modern Mac, but monetary issues and such prevented us from getting one. Now here I am, on our iBook 900 14", quite happy with Apple.
Last time I used Hotline it was all Mac Warez... so I don't even wanna hear you blame PC user's for that one..
for me, the disgustingness in hotline wasn't the warez content, but the fact that those fuckers tried to make me pay them for it. getting warez, particularly over something like hl, isn't worth any amount of money (nor money through ad-servers). and eventually, the pay-servers outweighed the free servers. i tried creating free servers, to ring in the old hl, but lusers and lamerz would overrun the place.
i didn't notice any decrease in the quality of hotline until PC users were brought into the network.

It's not the warez that's the problem. It's the "click this banner, sign up at this porn site, send me an email and maybe I'll give you an account" and the "paypal me $10 for a week's access" servers that ruined hotline.
You can't blame PC users for that either... adverts for software started after the big boom in paid to surf.... its just a logical step.. almost all software that you don't need to pirate or pay for has it nowadays. Welcome to spyware.

In that case, there probably isn't any Mac compatible iTunes downloaders.

Just use Audio Hijack. Doesn't it work?

Um, no. In case you haven't noticed, Mac's don't have spyware. Anyway, this is way OT, so I'm going to continue....
