Okay, no white spots, no dead pixels, latch works fine, HOWEVER, there is a minor design flaw, sometimes when I set the computer down on my bed or on the couch, the jolt rocks the display out of place.

no biggie though, it's only when it's bent back does it get kind of loose, otherwise it's solid.

I sort of lusting after a 15" AlBook myself. This 12" pb will have to tide me over til next year when I have a real job. I'm not complaining.... I love this computer.

I'm right there with you. Hopefully by then, REv. B will have been out a while, prices will have dropped again and I will be able to afford some 15" Powerbook sexiness.

So, no dead pixels, no white spots....but there are TONS of stuck pixels.

they just pop up all the time, they don't last, and they usually fix themselves, and they are also generally unnoticeable, and certainly don't affect my computing at all, but it's kind of strange.

another strange thing, I guess this could be OS related

my airport reception fluctuates a lot! right now it's 3/4, and sometimes it is 3/4 even when I'm right next to the damn router.

I mean, the internet is still snappy no matter where I am, and audio chat doesn't lag no matter where I am(unlike the tibook we have here) but the airport signal should be full all the time.

especially since it's 802.11g on an 802.11b router, and the antennae are in the display instead of the base...hrm...seems more of a firmware, OS thing than an airport thing.

    unless 3/4 in panther= 4/4 in jaguar...or rather, 3/4 for airport extreme=4/4 for airport

    *Shrug*

I was working in photoshop today....damn this thing smokes. 8)

i noticed the same thing on mine, and without even having moved the PB or the router, the AE signal fluctuates quite often.

before i got my PB 1.25, i had the 1Ghz one (white spot afflicted) and i had added an AE card to it myself and upgraded (not clean install) from 10.2 to 10.3. the AE signal and the networking behaved much, much better on that machine than on this one. i also figured it had to do with 10.3, as it came pre-installed on my current PB. *shrugs too*
