First of all, in my mind "making something of yourself" is not directly correlated to how much money you are worth (apparently you feel differently).
So why bother living in the States? I'm sure there's a nice socialist African country out there that would appreciate you for the wonderful being that you are.
Are you unaware of the concept that "money doesn't make the man"? Do you not get what the implication is? Are you lost on the fact that it's better to be a person of solid character and integrity (and make only 40 grand a year), than it is to be a self-centered individual who strives only to serve themselves (and make 40 million a year)??
