pscates - well it's not designed with ergonomics in mind... it's more for compact size and transportability - a great compliment to the PB. However, I use it only when I'm at work with deskspace. At home, I persist with the trackpad b/c I recently set my desk up with a synth and the PB has been relegated to the end.
Anyway, no it's not a mouse you can rest your hand on for extended periods of time - although it does fit your index and middle finger quite comfortabley over each clickable side.
Check it out in a shop if you can - damn tiny, but perfect if you have to tote it around in your backpack or some similar cramped bag along with your PB, books, power adapter etc.
I just bought the logitech MX 500 today....I was using a logitech dual optical mouseman, but the mouse was erratic. I could be viewing something, and zoom my mouse pointer was at the bottom of the screen. The same thing happened when I used it playing games as well. I'm very happy with their new mouse though.
If you're left-handed, you just need to avoid those "ergonomic" mice that are sloped for right-handed people. The Logitech MX300 and MX310 are ambidextrous, as is the MS Optical Blue. I know the MX500/MX700/MX900 are all right-handed only, and so are some of the MS Intellimice. Just make sure you find a picture first to see.

1. Which of the above choices would work best for a left-handed person?
2. How do these choices compare with the "wireless" mouse that comes with those tablet/pen combos offered by Wacom?
