Can someone tell me what the big allure is with Bluetooth and cell phones?

I was looking into getting a SE T616 but settled on the T310 model. Not as nice but $200 cheaper.

I use the IR in my Palm Vx over to the phone. Apart from a greater range, are there any other advantages to BT?

Nah, no software from SE. That's why I have to go through my Palm. Just does one address at a time, but it's not like I'm adding tens of numbers each week.

Is the Sony Z600 also coming to T-Mobile's network? Soon?

Yup. You have to edit the symbian conduit in /system/library/syncservices

I'm too tired to post full guide. You need to edit supporteddevicesinfo and symbianconduit_phones.plist - change 3650 to 6600. Then rename files starting with 3650 to start with 6600. Then delete the sync cache in /libray or ~/library (important, or it won't work). Then restart isync and try adding your phone.

If you can add your phone to isync but can't sync, reinstall isync and start again, making sure to delete all isync's prefs and cache files.

I am not sure. I'll call my rep tomorrow and see if he knows. I will post on here when I find out.

I've worked for Nokia and their phones aren't an easy sell to me. I had 3110, 8810, 8210, then (from work) a Communicator and a 7650. Once I quit, I bought a SonyEricsson first thing. I liked the 8xxx series but they disintegrated so fast I felt ripped off as a consumer. I'll reconsider after my T68 dies. Maybe if Nokia has a good-value 8xxx series Bluetooth phone by then...
